Public Nouns

Tldr Public Nouns Metrics is an on-chain data curation project that aims to organize, present and digest Public Nouns DAO data.

Overview

• Sixdegree is one of the most experience on-chain data team ranked top 1 on Dune analytics ( https://dune.com/sixdegree ) and with past clients such as Gnosis Safe, Lens, Velodrome among others

• Public nouns has started to grow with 20+ proposals, 150+ ETH and 250+ Public nouns.

• However, Public nouns lacks data driven insights to report and promote more data driven discussions within the community (e.g: Governance Report, Treasury Report, Treasury Growth forecast tool, Treasury Dune Dashboard, Governance Dune Dashboard, General Dune Dashboard)

Deliverables:

1. A Dune dashboard Nouns Metrics website: A dashboard showing Public Nouns DAO’s main on-chain metrics: (i) Treasury: Easily visualize treasury growth and spending. A list of all the proposals where the DAO deployed capital. Market value evolution of the assets held by the Treasury. (ii) Auctions: How much are Public Nouns selling for and who is deploying capital to buy them? Who is auctioning Public Nouns? (iii) Governance: Understanding voting power (taking in consideration to delegations), active voters and no-voters (iv) User persona: Understanding the Public nouns holders and help to draw insights

2. Public Nouns Data Digest A Monthly digest of the main on-chain data points of Nouns DAO will be shared. This digest will present the Monthly and yearly evolution of these data points.

We will perform scoping to understand which data points are more relevant to the community.

3. Nouns Metrics Dune Account A Dune Account organizing all Nouns DAO data in one place. We will implement the Public Nouns Datapod’s Dune design philosophy ie. Data will be organised into small dashboards that are modular, and concise.

Why is this valuable?

• All the data analysis and queries will be public and enable the community to be forked and extended by the web 3 community as needed.
• On-chain data is available, but should be easily accessible and digestible.
• The Sixdegree team will be able to make data easily accessible and user their expertise to increase transparency in Public Nouns DAO, but also help every member make data driven discussions and decisions.
• More data will lead to a better understanding of our community and thus help to grow Public Nouns and increase our impact on public good funding

Costs

• Quarterly engagement of 5 ETH for 3-months (equivalent to 1.7 ETH per month)
• Quarterly review and checking

Note, as the treasury is expanding, allocating 5-10% of total annual treasury to data and Ops is important. This project is one of the most important to stat making sure growth, governance, treasury and others are all in place.
