Abstract

The most brilliant contributors to public goods projects surrounding DAOs will be collaborating, sharing, experimenting and building at DAO Palace 2023, in a few months.

Projects like pNouns, Family DAO and Constitutions of Web3 were incubated or launched at DAO Palace 2022, all of which are supporting open source commons and public goods.

Participation in DAO Palace 2023 is open, collaborative and curated in a decentralized manner, balancing inclusivity and exclusivity.

pNouns is invited to share an integral role in DAO Palace 2023, as a Villa sponsor. What will emerge this year?

How does this initiative support public goods? DAO Palace brings together the individuals that contribute to public goods. It is a gift to these individuals to collaborate and learn from each other.

DAO Palace participants build in the open, so that iterative evolutions can happen faster. When they are all together in a physical space, like DAO Palace, this intended evolution is exponential, because learnings and experiences are combined and integrated in ways that could not be prescribed, especially from the proprietary perspective that encourages building in parallel, which is slow and often detrimental, wasting time and resources.

DAO Palace is supporting the public goods that the participants support, which is not only what they support today, but also what they will support in the future.

How is it non-excludable?

While DAO Palace does have limited spaces available for participation, which naturally creates an imbalance in supply and demand that results in a highly curated group of DAO experts, the barrier to entry is not exclusive. The event is free to participants, supporting the attention towards including more diverse perspectives. Sponsors and alumni are encouraged to nominate participants from other organizations.

How is it non-rivalrous?

A goal with the DAO Palace alumni is to support more events like DAO Palace. Partnerships with events from outside the community are welcome.

Why does it need funding right now?

Because the event is free to participants, DAO Palace is able to bring together the brightest minds to collaborate, experiment, build and share.

DAO Palace 2023 is scheduled for June 20 - 29. It is important to secure vendors for accommodations and meals as soon as possible.

Public Nouns was hacked on during DAO Palace 2022. Many of the early bidders, helping to promote the pNouns brand, were DAO Palace participants, who often use their pNoun as a PFP. DAO Palace loves pNouns!
