Public Nouns x Built on Ethereum (documentary)
Abstract
For years now, the mainstream normie narrative has been that “crypto is useless” or that “only good for gambling.”
There is AN ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE gap between mainstream awareness of crypto, and under-the-radar grassroots adoption across places like Africa & Latin America. But also institutions, governments etc.
Most people only know Bitcoin & Memecoins - they know nothing about DeFi, ReFi, DAOs, DeSci, DePIN, RWAs, the convergence with AI etc. etc.
We are attempting to change all that by producing this documentary about applications & usecases of The World Computer.
How does this initiative support Public Goods?
Education is one of the most fundamental public goods, and high quality education around non-speculative usecases seems to be almost completely missing. If successful, it will help all of Ethereum, as well as normies.
Also by giving back more than it got from Public Nouns, hopefully!
How is it non-excludable?
It will be freely available to anyone with internet, and fully open-source.
How is it non-rivalrous?
Arguably the more people watch it, the more valuable it actually becomes. Scales infinitely & stays online forever.
Why does it need funding right now?
Couldn‘t be more critical timing. Crypto has matured enough to have genuine applications across many domains, yet public perception remains stuck in the “crypto is a scam” narrative.
