TL;DR

Giveth is back for more public goodness, as we would love to see Public Nouns continue to pump public goods funding by contributing 5 more ETH to sponsor our Loving on Public Goods round and a follow up Quadratic Funding Round, in a few months.

Beyond directly funding 100+ verified public goods projects, ranging from environmental initiatives to OSS, and being able to nominate 3 projects to each round AND getting GIVbacks… We want to double down on the Public Nouns brand exposure this time.

As suggested by Sky in Discord, we are also requesting a Public Noun to promote a give away. We will have a special donation round where one lucky donor will win a Public Noun! We would use this to push more donations in between QF rounds.

Impact of this next QF Sponsorship

Our community of projects and donors invites Public Nouns to continue making an unheard of impact on public goods. Let’s continue to build on top of what we have already done!

We are about to run a Valentine’s Day themed round, called “Loving on Public Goods” and will focus on supporting public goods projects, so 2.5 ETH will be directed towards that initiative. More details here: https://x.com/Giveth/status/1879577726295974212

The remaining 2.5 ETH will be used in a future round later in 2025, and we guarantee that the funds will have an exponential impact.

*Note: To maintain our operations and ensure the integrity of each round, Giveth will allocate:

• 10% of the pool funds for operational and management costs.
• 5% for robust post round analysis.

The Public Noun Giveaway

Along side the QF Sponsorship, Sky suggested we also make a special marketing campaign around this amazing DAO. Lots of people want a public noun, but with a 0.33 ETH price tag, its pretty tough to justify for a lot of our community.

Thats why raffling it off to a lucky donor could be a big boost to donations to public goods in between QF rounds, when donations tend to lag.

Every 2 weeks we run the GIVbacks raffle where 10 lucky donors win up to 1M GIV (currently ~$6000). In a future round, likely at the end of February or early March, we will also run a Public Nouns Raffle where, using the same parameters as the GIVbacks Raffle, 1 lucky donor will win a Public Noun!

but separately, so maybe a person who won GIV also wins a public noun… or maybe it s someone else completely, it would be an independant raffle, but with the same considerations, the more you donate, the more likely you are to win a Public Noun.
