Project Overview

Farcastle transforms Warpcast channels into DAOs by integrating Moloch v3 governance directly into social feeds via Warpcast frames. We eliminate the complexity of on-chain coordination, letting communities make decisions right where they already talk. Building on Farcaster’s open protocol enables us to make governance as simple as social interaction - something impossible on traditional social platforms.

Why Now?

As graduates of the Octant Accelerator program, we’ve established working implementations of governance tools in production. The current Flowstate funding round is set to end on January 1st, 2025. With this proposal’s support, we can extend the round by one month, providing crucial additional matching funds for all accelerator projects. The timing is perfect - Farcaster is growing rapidly, communities are actively requesting better coordination tools, and our core infrastructure is ready for expansion. Your support now will not only accelerate Farcastle’s development but amplify the impact across the entire accelerator cohort.

Farcastle is non-excludable - our tools are available to any Warpcast channel and all code is open source. It’s also non-rivalrous - the platform becomes more valuable as adoption grows and communities share governance patterns. By embedding decision-making directly in social channels, we reduce friction and make coordination accessible to everyone.

Our relationship with Flowstate, Octant, and Public Nouns represents a powerful cycle of ecosystem support. Public Nouns previously supported Flowstate through Proposal 36, helping establish the initial quadratic funding streams. Now, through Flowstate, we can amplify the impact of Public Nouns’ support while demonstrating the effectiveness of tools the community helped build.
