Overview

I, Ohan, am proposing the continuation of Lil Nouns Esports’ efforts to fund specific activations for Plup and Lil Nouns over the next four months.

The goal of this proposal is to promote Lil Nouns. We will achieve this by creating exclusivity in the governance of Rounds hosted on Nouns.GG.

Plup will serve as the ambassador for this opportunity, using his brand and popularity to draw attention to the Lil Nouns Community page on Nouns GG. He will encourage his audience to engage with its programming and join him in exploring the Lil Nouns ecosystem.

• 4 Lil Plup Cup Events: $6,000

Recap of Proposal 241 and 260 (Lil Esports)

Through Prop 241, Lil Nouns sponsored both Plup & Junebug through the latter half of 2024.

Plup has been on a incredible run in the esports world. After strong finishes at major 2024 Smash tournaments, he continued his success at Genesis X2 this February, the world’s largest Smash event. Competing in Rivals of Aether II, he placed first, showcasing his elite skills among top competitors. Watch his winning moment here.

This is an outsized opportunity, as Plup has the unique ability to represent Lil Nouns and bring the brand to the forefront at Evo 2025, the largest esports event in the world.

Junebug, once considered to have peaked, has shattered expectations in the Smash community. By the end of 2023, he ranked among the top 40 players. In 2024, he achieved notable victories using Donkey Kong, an unconventional choice, against top Melee competitors. His success with Donkey Kong has created a unique and compelling narrative in Smash history, enhancing Lil Esports’ legacy.

In addition to supporting players, Lil Nouns played a key role in creating unique events that delivered incredible entertainment to the Smash community, making the Lil Nouns brand synonymous with fun.

The Lil Nounsvitational Afterparty became one of the most-watched highlights of Nouns Esports’ December event. A crew battle featuring the best East and West Coast players in the world has received nearly 20,000 views.

In 2025, Plup continued his representation of Lil Nouns by hosting the Plupathon, which included the Lil Plup Cup, attracting over 90 entrants and thousands of live viewers. The winner of the event, Salt, was flown out to compete at Genesis X2, where she secured her best performance at a Super-Major to date by placing 5th.

1. Plup will represent Lil Nouns in competitions at the largest Smash and Rivals 2 events worldwide.

1. Plup will create content through livestreaming to raise awareness and distribute content hosted on Nouns GG.

1. Plup will host online cups requiring participants to join the Lil Nouns Discord Server will increase awareness of other initiatives at Lil Nouns. Winners of these cups will receive a travel stipend, a Lil Nouns jersey, and a Lil Noun, enabling them to participate in token-gated opportunities.

1. Plup will use Nouns GG and Lil Noun token-gated rounds to encourage his audience to join the DAO and participate in the decision-making and voting for the Rounds, helping to diversify Lil Nouns’ esports efforts. Lil Nouns Esports rounds will encourage a variety of proposals, including event sponsorship, player travel funding, and more.

Why Now?

The Summer of Smash is heating up with several high-profile events, including two Nouns-backed tournaments from Prop 698. With Plup currently ranked as the #1 player in Rivals of Aether II, he is the frontrunner to bring home one of the most prestigious trophies in all of esports—the EVO trophy. This presents a prime opportunity to elevate Lil Nouns’ presence in the competitive scene while supporting a championship-caliber player on the biggest stage.

Why Lil Nouns x Esports?

The Smash scene is one of the most decentralized esports in the world, driven forward by event operators and players from every imaginable corner. It is often governed by its community through voting rounds and fundraising efforts. We believe that the ethos of Lil Nouns, being a fun, supportive community, resonates well with the Smash audience. Through token-gated opportunities, we will identify supporters and empower them to participate in the community experience by bringing their favorite proposals to life.

Nouns GG is making significant progress and is beginning to support additional communities and creators. Through Lil Nouns-specific content, we believe we can create a clear pipeline that directs esports supporters towards the Lil Nouns auction. By introducing dedicated funding opportunities for Lil Nouners, we plan to provide valuable benefits to existing holders while also incentivizing new members to join the DAO and participate in voting for these small grants. Through Nouns GG, we can facilitate Lil Rounds and Lil Quests that will drive direct engagement and education for Lil Nouns, while also leveraging the shop and gold feature to integrate Lil Nouns’ merchandise, further expanding the brand’s reach.
