TLDR

  • Lil Bean hopes to travel the world for the next 12 months. This propoosal covers the 1st half of the 12-month social media campaign (November 18, 2024 - May 18, 2025).
  • This proposal outlines a new, focused, and strategic approach of promoting Lil Nouns and sharing relatable content through our social channels.
  • The team aims to expand our social media reach on TikTok and Instagram via high quality and engaging animations that follow a consistent posting schedule + introduce a small experimental ad budget. We are doubling down on animations (6 per month) and incorporating a through-line with the stories presented each week/month.
  • Rebranding socials, from @lilbeanbylils to @ZUPBEAN
  • Lil Based Bean series on Farcaster.
  • Release of high quality Lil Bean sticker packs to be used across social media platforms.
  • The goal is to reach 500k TikTok followers and 100k Instagram followers by the end of the 1st half of the campaign and below we’ll explain how.

THE PLAN

Content Focus

  • Tiktok : Follows a weekly/monthly storyline, focusing on couple-centric shareable content. We will post every few days with an average of 6 animations posted monthly.
  • Farcaster : Crypto-centric content that introduces more educational elements around Blockchain, DAO governance, making proposals etc, providing our new audience with an amusing take on serious topics that will be relatable to them. (weekly posting)
  • Instagram : Combination of posts from TikTok and Farcaster, advertised to another new audience.

Road to 1 Million Followers

(This is all organic engagement from the 1st 6-month campaign of Lil Bean.)

  • The goal for 1st half of the campaign is to reach 500k followers on TikTok, and 100k IG followers. The most viewed content of Lil Bean has 2.4M views and we believe with the ad budget we will now be able to add fuel to the fire when/where necessary.
  • Rebranding of social media usernames to a shorter and catchy “@ZUPBEAN”, which simply means “What’s up Bean?”

  • Playful
  • Mindful
  • Lovely (new characteristics to be unlocked)
  • Adventurous
  • Lil Based Bean (crypto enthusiast)

The 6-Month Roadmap

Content Distribution

  • Self distribute the media via Bean socials (+ via collaborators) and our own channels e.g. TikTok, X + current Farcaster Rounds to reach the widest audience possible. We plan to aggregate as much meaningful data as possible with the long term goal of a distribution deal for Bean.
  • Animation snippets turned to gifs will be uploaded to Tenor and Giphy.
  • Every other month release of high quality Lil Bean sticker packs, to be used across different social media apps.
  • During the 1st half of the campaign, On The Ground activities will be held for the upcoming holidays and celebrations. (TBA)

Zora Bean

  • Every week, an animation will be minted through Zora, half the revenue from the mints will go to Lil Nouns treasury.

CC0 In line with the Nouns ethos, all of our illustrations and animations will be offered under CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license, allowing the community unrestricted access for creative use. This decision reflects the commitment to the cause and community involvement. It opens the doors to endless possibilities, from inspiring future proposals to enhancing Lil Nouns’ real-world events and other Lil marketing exercises.

FUNDING 1.3E per month + 0.15E (3 * sticker packs) = 8E for 6 months. A new proposal for the second half of the campaign will be posted before the completion of this first half.

Monthly Breakdown

  • 6 Animations * 0.13E = 0.8E
  • 1 Bean sticker pack (every other month) = 0.025E
  • 6 Copywriting * 0.04 = 0.24E
  • Experimental AD Budget = 0.1E
  • Social Media Manager = 0.12E
  • Misc/Contingency = 0.02E

We also propose to allocate 2 weeks for the planning, creation, and to finalize the initial animations before the target posting date (November 18), ensuring quality content delivery. We aim to stay 1 month ahead of posting with room for flex and topical posts reflecting current events etc.

First half of the campaign will run consistently from Nov. 18, 2024 to May 18, 2025. Plan for 2nd half of the campaign will be released in April 2025 within a new proposal exhibiting our learnings and any changes to the plan.
