TLDR: We propose an immersive, hands-on activation at NFT Brasil, held in São Paulo at the Bienal Pavilion. This event will introduce over 5,000 students and more than 20,000 attendees to Web3 and Lil Nouns through kendama, a traditional Japanese wooden toy, alongside various Nounish Web3 onboarding experiences. Kendama’s simplicity makes it an ideal way to introduce those with no Web3 knowledge to how an on-chain collective can create lasting, real-world impact and inspire a new approach to community building.

Overview:

NFT Brasil is one of the most impactful NFT and Web3 event in Latin America and we want Lil Nouns to be a standout part of the event! Set in the iconic Bienal Pavilion and scheduled for September 12 and 13, 2024, our activation will engage attendees across five key areas: the NFT Exhibition, Speaker Sessions, Lounge, Metaverse, and Street Gallery.

This event provides the perfect platform to connect the digital and physical worlds. By introducing kendama, we’ll offer a unique, hands-on experience that bridges these two realms.

Participants will learn how to play kendama, guided by principles from the Mindfulness Through Play programs, which teach the benefits of a growth mindset, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. This playful interaction will be seamlessly integrated with onchain education, using platforms like Token8.life (launching imminently) and Nounspace.com to showcase how creativity and community can thrive onchain.

Objectives:

1. Lil Nouns Presence: A ⌐◨-◨ Showcase

Although the Nouniverse has grown, many people at crypto conferences are still unfamiliar with Nouns, and even fewer know about Lil Nouns. These events present a prime opportunity for spreading awareness, as most attendees already have a basic understanding of blockchain and wallets. Our custom booth will capture the fun and creativity of Lil Nouns, demonstrating how decentralized communities can make a real-world impact through play and innovation. Throughout the event, teams from Nounish projects will be present (Kendama DAO, PlayDNA, etc), onboarding attendees and discussing proposals, governance, and the unique process of proposing to a community treasury.

• Live Auctions: We’ll guide attendees through the Lil Nouns auction process, helping them select and mint their favorite Lil Nouns right on the spot.
• Panels and Discussions: Lil Nouns representatives will lead discussions on decentralized governance, the use of NFTs to fund public goods, and how playful activations like kendama can build new connections and raise awareness of Web3’s potential for positive change. Teams behind current Brazil-based projects will also be present to help spread the word.
• Nounspace Launch: We’ll celebrate the launch of Nounspace’s $SPACE launch on September 12th at our booth. Attendees will explore the platform, learning about its features and future roadmap. We’ll also share insights into the project’s origins and its connection to Nouns, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

2. Kendama Activation: Education Through Play

In a space dominated by digital media and screens, the quirky wooden kendama toy stands out, offering a unique way to capture attention and engage attendees. It serves as an ideal icebreaker, inviting genuine play before transitioning into more complex topics.

Kendama, with its deep cultural roots, is more than just a game—it’s a tool for teaching essential life skills. At our booth and throughout the venue, attendees will have the chance to learn how to land their first spike, experiencing the same lessons taught in schools through the Mindfulness Through Play programs. These lessons, which focus on areas like concentration, growth mindset, and emotional regulation, create an engaging entry point for discussions on Web3 and decentralized communities.

3. Web3 Onboarding: Connecting Physical Play to the Digital World

Token8.life, a new Web3 platform rooted in the Nouns ecosystem, will be a key component of the kendama activation. Attendees will engage with the platform, which is a fork of Vrbs, where they’ll upload any media to the interactive contests and learn about NFTs, wallets, and governance in a fun, pressure-free environment. We’ll also introduce Lil Nouns as an accessible entry point into the Nouns ecosystem for those with ambitious ideas. We’ll guide attendees on how to get involved, how auctions work, and even onboard new members right at the booth!

• Lil Playground Contest: Kids will create Lil Nouns in the Playground and enter them into a “Content for Governance” game contest. This demonstrates that Web3 isn’t just for experts - it’s for everyone.
• Kendama Contest: Attendees can submit videos of their best kendama tricks via Token8.life, with contest winners receiving rewards in ETH, effectively linking physical play with the digital world.

Budget Breakdown:

• Booth Setup and Design: 4 ETH Includes the cost of a custom-built booth space equipped with a screen displaying Nounish art, live Lil Nouns auctions, and area for playing kendama and engaging with the community. This also covers Noggles branding in event communication channels, including social media, the event’s metaverse, street art posters, and various Nounish coordinated efforts, such as graffiti art.
• Team and Operations: 2 ETH
  Covers a dedicated team to lead kendama lessons, manage contests, discuss Lil Nouns, and handle event logistics. The PlayDNA team will also be present to represent Nouns, providing information and onboarding assistance.
• Kendamas: 1 ETH
  Covers the purchase and transport of 100 kendamas to Brazil.
• Content Creation and Documentation: 0.5 ETH
  Professional photography and videography to capture the activation for post-event marketing and content distribution.
• Travel: 2.75 ETH
  Travel and accommodation expenses for 2 team members.
