Overview of the Proposal

I am seeking 4 ETH to develop and expand community tools for Lil Nouns through Lil Nouns Lab over a 3-month period, with a primary focus on integrating and enhancing our presence on Farcaster. Farcaster has emerged as a key platform for our community, showing significant potential for engagement and growth. By concentrating our efforts here, we can leverage its unique capabilities to build tools that strengthen our community and support ongoing Lil Nouns initiatives.

The initial proposal requested 6.9 ETH to cover the development and expansion efforts. However, due to current budgetary constraints and market conditions, the request has been reduced to 4 ETH. This reduction reflects both a decrease in scope to accommodate the whales enforcement and ensure stability in funding.

Why Focus on Farcaster?

Farcaster has become a crucial hub for Lil Nouners, with over 700 verified wallets connected to the platform, representing a third of all Lil Noun holders. The engagement levels on Farcaster are high, making it the ideal platform to focus our community-building efforts. By prioritizing Farcaster, we can effectively nurture our existing community, re-engage inactive members, and create tools that enhance interactions and participation.

Achievements and Progress Made

This initiative has been self-funded and retroactive since year-to-date. Despite the lack of prior funding, significant progress has been made, including:

• Development of bots, channel automations, and tools, with some already open-sourced and more to come.
• Thousands of views driven to our frontend, verified by Google Analytics and UTM link results.
• Launch of DC-based tools, which have already shown a significant impact.

These efforts have led to nearly doubling monthly voter turnout compared to late 2023, demonstrating the effectiveness of our approach on Farcaster.

Planned Deliverables and Next Steps

With Farcaster as our primary focus, the planned deliverables over the next 3 months include:

• A fully operational version of DC-based tools, plus a dashboard token gated for Lil Nouners, and for Lil Nouns events, tailored to Farcaster’s platform.
• Development of Farcaster frames, token-gated features, and automated tools using Farcaster’s infrastructure to enhance user access, engagement, and interactions.
• Providing technical support to other Lil Nouns initiatives on Farcaster during this period to ensure seamless integration and success of ongoing and new projects.

Due to the budget reduction, the development of the VRGDA auction frame and the open-source automation framework for Lil Nouns channels on Farcaster has been postponed for future phases.

Expected Outcomes and Impact

• Increased engagement and activity within the Lil Nouns community on Farcaster, measured by growth in active users and interaction frequency.
• Boosted voter turnout with sustained improvements in participation rates.
• Enhanced tool adoption and usage among community members, leading to more efficient interactions and positive feedback for new tools.
• Expanded reach, with growth in the number of active Lil Nouners and re-engagement of inactive members, measured by an increase in verified Lil Nouners and retention of members.

Focusing our community-building efforts on Farcaster is a strategic choice driven by the platform’s significant potential and current high engagement levels. This funding will enable the Lil Nouns Lab to sustain and expand these efforts over the next 3 months, ensuring our community remains vibrant and engaged. I appreciate the community’s continued support and am confident that, with this funding, we can achieve even greater success together.
