In the spirit of keeping Lil Nouns weird, we want to enter Lil Nouns into the Red Bull Flugtag on November 9th, 2024, in Tampa, Florida!

This is an amazing opportunity to show the world what Lil Nouns are made of!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Red Bull Flugtag: It’s an event where builders create wacky makeshift aircraft in various styles and images and push them off the side of a pier to see who can create the craft that will fly the furthest.

The event is a ton of fun to watch, attracts packed crowds, and gets a lot of visibility through Red Bull’s channels and YouTube.

Through this proposal, we’ll be able to:

• Bring an all-star Nounish team to Tampa, Florida, for the Flugtag!
• Create a one-of-a-kind Lil Bean Craft + Lil Nouns Styled Costumes!
• Capture content: Building the craft to flight!
• Expose Lil Nouns and Lil Bean to the world and create lore for the Lil Bean campaign!

The Design

The final design for the craft is a large three-wheel Lil Bean with the pilot sitting on its back:

The crew of 5 will be outfitted in Lil Nounish jumpsuits and helmet coverings (possibly each being a different Lil Noun). Each will be unique, and in the style of this mock-up:

The Team!

• Kappy (@myfriendkappy) - Lead Builder and Flight Crew: Kappy will not only participate as the “pilot” but will build, house, and transport the craft, interact with Red Bull, and take the lead on organizing Nouns’ participation in the event!

• Mike Good (@mikegood) - Ground Support & Project Management: Mike has helped craft the idea and organize the team. He’s working with Kappy to help plan and approve various aspects of the build and day-of organization. He’ll be on the ground the day of the event capturing the moment and sharing updates with the DAO.

Applying to Participate & Being Accepted

To become part of the Red Bull Flugtag event, you have to submit an application with concept, design, and team info, and be accepted. In the case we are not accepted, funds from this proposal will be sent back to the DAO. We will find out if we are accepted by September 24th.

Documenting the Event

We’ll record as much of the planning and building phases as possible and release short videos and images of building the craft behind the scenes. The goal will be to create a short documentary-style video following their journey from building to flight. We’ll hire a film crew to record key build days to help capture footage. Red Bull will also be checking in with builders pre-build on FaceTime and performing video interviews where we’ll wear noggles. All of this material will be made available to the community on YouTube and on a stand-alone website we’ll create to feature the event and final videos and images.

Application Process and Timeline:

• We’ve sketched the plans, designed the craft, and are ready to submit a proposal to Red Bull!
• We wait to see if Lil Nouns wants to fund this adventure.
• We send the application to Red Bull (before September 10th).
• If we’re accepted by Red Bull for flight, we’ll begin to distribute the funds (as needed) to build the craft and start the journey! If the proposal does not pass with Red Bull, the funds will be sent back to the DAO.
• Building begins September 24th.
• The flight crew flies in for the big event! (Nov 8th, 2024)
• We take flight for Lil Nouns! (Nov 9th, 2024)
