In proposal number 207, we almost reached the threshold, falling just short despite significant participation from our community. This near miss highlights the potential for a more effective system if we make a few key adjustments. Given this, I’m going to put it up again.

Our current proposal approval process spans 7 days, split into 2 days of waiting, 3 days of voting, and 2 days in the final queue.

However, we face challenges with this structure. With limited active voters, many of whom are busy during the week, it’s crucial to boost engagement from genuine voters to ensure a more inclusive and democratic process. Our recent proposals show we can almost reach quorum without relying on power voters, highlighting the potential for healthier and more engaged voting.

From my personal involvement and discussions with genuine voters, it’s clear that many people are busy and miss the voting process due to the limited time frame. Extending the voting period will give everyone more time to participate, ensuring their voices are heard.

To address this, I propose the following adjustments:

• Shorten the waiting period to one day.
• Extend the voting period to four days.

This keeps our overall process within the 7-day timeframe while providing an extra day for voting. This additional time allows for more engagement from genuine voters, leading to more informed decision-making and less idle time.

We all know how important it is for every voice to be heard. Many of our community members have shared that they miss out on voting simply because life gets in the way. By extending the voting period by 25% as an experiment, we show compassion for everyone’s busy schedules and ensure that more voices can contribute to our collective decisions. 🗳️

By providing more time for voting, we encourage greater participation and foster a more inclusive and thoughtful decision-making process. This ensures that every genuine voter has the opportunity to contribute, making the process more democratic and fair. We need to make sure that no one feels left out or unheard, and this change can help us achieve that goal. 🌟
