Shorter Wait and Longer Vote for Proposals
Currently, the process for approving proposals in our system takes about 7 days, divided into three parts: a 2-day waiting period, a 3-day voting period, and a 2-day final queue period.
However, Ethereum, the platform we use, has changed. Now, each block on Ethereum takes exactly 12 seconds. This means our current waiting period of 13,140 blocks lasts about 44 hours, and our voting period of 19,710 blocks lasts about 66 hours.
I suggest we update our process to better match the current speed of Ethereum. Let’s shorten the waiting period to exactly one day (7,200 blocks) and extend the voting period to four days (28,800 blocks). This keeps the total time at 7 days but gives us an extra day to vote, making our decision-making both timely and more thoughtful.
