I’m Milad, a dedicated contributor and builder within our vibrant ecosystem, where I’ve had the privilege of steering and participating in several projects over the past two years. My journey with the DAO has been one of passion, innovation, and a deep commitment to our collective success, all without funding for most of these endeavors.

• Awesome Lil Nouns: I curated a comprehensive list of resources, providing invaluable insights into the Lil Nouns project for fostering greater community engagement.

• Lil Nouns Center: I played my role in updating the infrastructure and maintaining the community site, ensuring it remains a vital hub for our projects and tools.

• Lil Nouns Bots: I developed and maintained a collection of ten bots designed to support and enhance the DAO’s operations, with two of these bots receiving funding for their development.

• Lil Nouns Click: I introduced a solution to resolve the visibility issues of our governance link on social media, improving accessibility and functionality across our platforms.

• Lil Nouns Template: I built a simple yet powerful website template to assist developers in starting creating Web3 sites, contributing to the ecosystem’s growth.

• LilNouns Top Voters: I developed a platform to recognize and celebrate the most active members of our governance process, highlighting the importance of community involvement.

• Lil Nouns Pics: I facilitated the selection and download of the pictures to enhance our visibility and accessibility for users and developers.

• Lil Nouns Camp: I migrated and maintained Lil Nouns Camp’s accessible functionalities, ensuring our community has a reliable tool for searching and reviewing past proposals.

Among several other open-source projects, these projects reflect my unwavering commitment to our community and illustrate my capabilities in delivering solutions that enhance our ecosystem. As we await an exciting transition to L2 toolings, I bring forth this proposal, leveraging my experience and deep understanding of our DAO’s aspirations and infrastructure.

Introduction

This proposal presents a focused plan to adapt and migrate an on-chain proposal progress reports, and update tracking tool similar to Nouns DAO solutions but on an L2 blockchain for Lil Nouns DAO, optimizing for efficiency and impact. Leveraging my background in developing and managing DAO projects, I aim to deliver scalability benefits, cost reductions, and improved proposal tracking within a tight 3-month timeline and a budget of 6 ETH.

Proposal Goals

1. Rapid L2 Migration: Quickly identify and migrate to an L2 solution that offers immediate transaction cost savings and scalability benefits.
2. Critical Feature Enhancements: Concentrate on enhancing core features directly contributing to the Lil Nouns DAO’s efficient proposal management and community engagement objectives.
3. Accelerated Community Support: Implement a fast-tracked approach to community education and support to facilitate a smooth transition to the new tool.

Implementation Plan

Phase 1: Expedited L2 Selection and Preparation (2 Weeks)

• Evaluate L2 options to select the most suitable platform based on cost-efficiency, user experience, and technical compatibility with available solutions.
• Outline a lean migration plan focusing on quick wins and minimal modifications for compatibility.

Phase 2: Focused Development and Migration (7 Weeks)

• Adapt tools to the chosen L2, prioritizing essential functionalities that enable effective tracking for proposal reports and updates.
• Employ agile development methodologies to accelerate the development and integration, leveraging existing resources and community contributions.

Phase 3: Immediate Testing, Deployment, and Community Engagement (3 Weeks)

• Initiate rapid testing cycles to ensure reliability and user-friendly migration, addressing any issues promptly.
• Launch the migrated tool on the L2 blockchain, complemented by targeted documentation, tutorials, and interactive community sessions for quick adaptation.

I will update the community on the progress with bi-weekly reports to the community on calls or social media.

Budget and Funding Request

With the revised duration, the 6 ETH budget will be allocated as follows to ensure the project’s success:

• L2 Selection and Preparation: 1 ETH
• Development and Migration: 3 ETH
• Testing, Deployment, and Community Engagement: 2 ETH

Total Funding Request: 6 ETH

This budget is meticulously planned to support accelerated activities essential for the migration’s success within the 3-month timeframe.
