Lil Nouns DAO

TLDR: 1 ETH per month for weekly sponsorship of newsletter & weekly X post. Lil Nouns DAO will get routine exposure to a growing and prominent web3 readership of thought leaders across media, art and culture. For 6 months.

This is a follow on proposal from BCheque Newsletter Partnership which was initiated for 6 months at 1 ETH per month.

1 - Looking back: Sponsorship Evaluation

Since the BCheque Newsletter partnership started six months ago this is how my various numbers have changed.

Across 6 months the newsletter has generated almost 100 clicks on Lils Nouns & Nouns content in the newsletter.

We have also generated 1000s of views on X by repurposing the newsletter content (see best examples to double down on in Looking forward: Weekly X Post section.)

After receiving multiple DMs after sponsored posts, I provided an evaluation in Discord of how I thought the Lil Nouns onboarding process could be improved, identifying common problems and proposing potential solutions:

Feedback: Buying process of Lil Nouns unclear Solution: Make a clear explanation explaining how to pick your own Lil/settle auction in the space immediately beneath the auction button so people don’t have a frustrating experience

Feedback: Why Lil Nouns and not just regular Nouns? Solution: Whilst we have been putting forward our argument that Lils are like a gateway to nouns - the site itself does not have that emphasis. We could create a tagline like “gateway to nouns” - or something like that - and make that more prominent across the media e.g. in newsletter, in TLNS show, at IRL events

Feedback: People want to know details of successful props and how to draft Solution: We could publish a 1 pager recommended route to funding including examples of the types of things we fund.

2- Looking forward: Newsletter Sponsorship

Via this partnership Lil Nouns has the largest newsletter reach compared with every Nouns sub-DAO, and even Nouns DAO itself.

Based on a review of what content works best, I propose we continue to write about the most exciting proposals we pass; the proposals we help to pass at Nouns DAO; and share more video content where possible.

3 - Looking forward: Weekly X Post

The X posts often generate more than 1k views each with good engagement.

What works best?

(ii) explaining how we are relevant in the broader Nouns game: Example 2

I propose to continue with this strategy.

4 - How To Improve

To further improve the newsletter for Lil Nouns I will experiment with better prominence at the very start of the newsletter.

After taking feedback from the DAO, I think it would be cool to incorporate Lil Beans art into the newsletter and the X post. This will be an experiment to start, so I will test and learn.

6 - Conclusion

Whilst this has been a difficult time for the DAO across the board to convert interest into new Lil Nouns purchases, I believe continuing to produce quality media for a quality audience at a cost-effective price point is important to position ourselves as an active, creative, and fun community.
