Dynamic Quorum is like a smart governance system that adapts to what’s on the table. Imagine it as a sliding scale for decision-making, where different proposals require different levels of support based on their content and how much they might stir up discussions.

So, what’s the deal with this proposal? Well, we’re suggesting that we make it easier for proposals to pass by lowering the default requirement from 714 tokens to around 357 tokens. Let’s dig into why this change could be a game-changer for our DAO.

In simple terms, by dropping the threshold to 357 tokens, it becomes smoother for proposals with widespread approval to get the green light. Especially those ideas that aren’t too controversial and are in line with what most of our community wants. But that’s not all. This also gives more reasons for folks to get involved in proposing things to our DAO.

Right now, it’s kind of like only the big players with lots of tokens have the final say. Our aim is to make every single vote count and encourage new members to join in. Think of it as boosting the influence of individual votes and making it more tempting for newcomers to participate.

Now, about setting that upper limit at around 357 tokens and adjusting it based on how many people are voting against it. This does two important things. First, it ensures that for super controversial proposals, a significant chunk of our community must be part of the decision-making process. This makes the results more reflective of what most of us want. And the good news is, we’ve got more than 1600 active votes, so it’s entirely doable. Second, by capping it at 1070, we stop any single super-powerful entity (those big ‘whales’) from dominating the show or blocking decisions all on their own. It keeps things fair and decentralized.

Now, these numbers aren’t set in stone. We can change them through a proposal if needed. Consider it an experiment to see how well they work.
