Lil Nouns DAO

TL;DR

This proposal requests 3.2 ETH per month for 3 months to improve DAO operations, and enhance brainstorming meetings. Brook has been serving as the DAO Operator from Dec 18, 2022 - March 16, 2023. Outlined in this proposal are contributions made thus far as a DAO operator, and the plan for continued growth and engagement for the upcoming period.

In Retrospect

1. Brainstorming Sessions
   • Hosted brainstorming sessions that facilitated the generation of innovative ideas and fostered collaboration within the community.
   • Pre-brainstorming research included 1:1 calls to gather community feedback and scanning conversations in Discord.
   • Brainstorming sessions sometimes occurred twice a week. This is in addition to impromptu sessions whenever needed.
2. Lil Reps Operations
   • Played a crucial role in steering Lil Reps operations, providing direction and ensuring the success of this important initiative.
   • Ensured the structure of Lil Reps was maintained, scheduling calls with members to decide on votes, writing timely announcements of votes, and posting them in various Nounish Discords and the Lil Reps’ Twitter account.
3. Podcast Episodes
   • Podcast episodes are being released, with additional episodes added every 1-2 weeks. View Here.
4. Content Pod
   • Facilitated ideation to move content pod forward.
   • Built and maintained the content pod website.
   • Offered constructive feedback to content creators who submitted proposals to the content pod.

The Future

Moving forward, Brook will continue to contribute to the Lil Nouns DAO and expand involvement in the following areas:

1. Enhance Brainstorming Meetings
   • Schedule brainstorming meetings well in advance and promote agendas to attract participants.
   • If need be, combine brainstorming meetings with community calls to streamline and enhance engagement.
   • Encourage active participation and collaboration to generate fruitful outcomes.
2. DAO Operations
   • Continue to handle voting for the DAO (on-chain) and Lil Reps (prop.house).
   • Set up snapshot votes and emoji votes efficiently and transparently.
   • Collaborate with other team members to define roles and responsibilities for posting proposals and other tasks.
3. Communication
   • Establish a consistent schedule for announcements and updates.
   • Provide timely reminders and summaries for events, votes, and proposals.
   • Start and maintain a Google Calendar for any and all events related to Lil Nouns.
   • Contribute to updating content at all touchpoints of the DAO, including the FAQ sections on Discord and other platforms to better assist newcomers.

Success Metrics

To ensure transparency and accountability, the following success metrics will be tracked:

• Increased attendance in brainstorming meetings and community calls.
• Positive feedback from DAO members on communication, transparency, and overall operations.

Budget

The requested budget for the term is 9.6 ETH, that is 3.2 ETH per month for a total of 3 months (a 20% decrease from the previous term.) This will be streamed starting from May 5th 2023 to July 30th 2023.
