TL;DR

A proven team, committed to providing value and reach for Lil Nouns DAO, via a weekly twitter spaces show and podcast. This proposal follows on from a successfully funded on chain proposal Proposal 68 and looks to continue funding for a further three months.

What is The Lil Nouns Show?

• The Lil Nouns Show is a weekly Lil Nouns centered twitter spaces show, hosted on The Noun Square #SoapBox.
• The show consists of a team of four co-hosts who also take on the roles of researchers, operations and guest bookings.
• The show looks to position itself as the customer facing ‘front of house’ for Lil Nouns DAO.
• Operating mainly on Twitter, we look to provide a platform for other like-minded communities to come speak with our community and also teach those communities about Lil Nouns. The ultimate aim being the onboarding of minded people into the DAO.

Prior Funding

• Lil Funding - We have completed a one month, four episode pilot in which we received retro funding at a cost to the DAO of 0.125 ETH per host, per episode. Totalling 2 ETH.
• On Chain Proposal - Proposal 68 was an on chain proposal to Lil Nouns DAO that passed 1185 votes to 334. A total of 47 unique addresses voted ‘for’ with just 4 addresses voting ‘against’ making it one of the most successful proposals in Lil Nouns DAO history. There were no abstain votes recorded.

What we promised Vs What we have delivered

In Proposal 68 we set a number of short term goals for the period of months 1-3 of the show. These can be found below and in the interest of openness, have not been modified in any way and have been taken directly from our last proposal. Our response to the goals we set can be found under each point in italics.

• Connect with other communities within the web3 space to raise awareness of Lil Nouns and learn from the experiences and experimentation of other projects. We have hosted a variety of shows with other communities such as mfers, Cryptoadz, Moonbirds, sn00uns, Howlerz and many others. During these shows we have spoken about governance structures, use of prop house and voting amongst other topics in the interest of Lil Nouns DAO community members.
• Continue to onboard valuable members into the Lil Nouns ecosystem. This is extremely difficult to measure and as of yet, there is no definitive way to measure how someone was on boarded into the DAO less for asking each individual. As a result of hosting shows with other communities we have seen those communities come into the Lil Nouns discord numerous times and buy tokens either live on air or immediately after.

• Engage with current Lil Nouns holders to try to increase the voting turnout on https://lilnouns.wtf/ via education on the show. We commit at least 50% of our shows running time to promoting, and discussing with, Lil Nouns DAO holders and those building within our ecosystem. We devote a period of the show to highlight and signpost people to ALL live on chain proposals and prop house rounds.
• Utilise other forms of media to increase engagement on twitter such as clipped soundbites from previous episodes (we will look to push out up to 3 clips in the week post the show airing). We have been releasing soundbites to run alongside our weekly promotion of the next show sporadically or when there is valuable information spoken about on a show we want to give further reach too. We have not hit the number of 3 clips a week as was a goal in our original proposal but have instead pivoted to creating a podcast of each show to be released across all major podcast hosting sites.
• Increase Twitter impressions to 100k + over a 28 day period. Our rolling 28 day twitter impressions stand at 111k which is 11,000 over our goal.
• Increase Twitter profile visits to 15k + over a 28 day period. Our twitter profile visits currently stand at 24.1k visits which is 9,100 over our goal.

We also set a number of ‘Longer term goals 3 months +’ in our original proposal. These goals still stand for this funding refill proposal and are as follows:

• Become the ‘not to be missed’ show within the Lil Nouns ecosystem. Upload each episode to various podcast hosting websites in order to maximise the reach of the show. This has been brought forward into our short term goals. We received 1 ETH funding from a TNS prop house round to enable us to carry this out with all episodes currently in production before delivery to podcast hosting sites soon.
• Re-evaluate our Twitter metrics from months 1-3 and set new goals to achieve in terms of driving engagement and visibility. Whilst we won’t set a number, we will look to improve on all metrics during this second 3 month term.
• Look to be re-funded via Lil Nouns or Nouns via an on-chain proposal. This proposal to Lil Nouns DAO looks to address this. It is our aim to continue to explore funding via Nouns DAO on completion of this funding round.

But, what else?

Aside from what we promised in our short term goals, here are some other things we are proud of:

• 6793 listeners over 13 shows

• 1719 POAPs claimed

• The #1 listened to #SoapBox show on The Noun Square.

What will we do next?

We’re proud of everything we have achieved in the first ‘season’ of TLNS, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want bigger and better things as we head into season two. In the first half of 2023 will aim to:

• Showcase and leverage Lil’s position as the fourth largest voter in Nouns governance; become the go-to show for those with Nouns proposals to come and pitch to Lil Nouns.
• Explore how TLNS can become a sustainable and self-funding Twitter space show, through sponsorship, partnerships, mints etc.
• Establish a strong brand identity for TLNS and take this cross-platform to increase the reach of TLNS outside of Twitter.
• Invest in professional podcasting equipment to level-up the quality of the TLNS audio-experience.
• Maintain our position as the number one #SoapBox show on TNS and bring new listeners to the platform itself, NOC and other #SoapBox shows.

A Lil Pilot

As we consider how we can maximise the reach of Lil Nouns through the Twitter spaces format, one clear observation is the impact hosting a daily space can have on growing an organic and engaged community. With this in mind, as part of this funding the TLNS team will trial running a daily Twitter space show with a one week pilot.

The format, style and timing of this show will all be open for discussion and debate within the Lil community, however our initial thoughts are:

• A one hour daily show, Monday-Friday.
• Discussing news from across the NFT and web3 space, not just the nouniverse.
• Putting a nounish POV on a range of topics and debates.
• Continue on our mission to connect with other communities and bring in a range of speakers and commentators each show.

The Lil Nouns Show format

We currently run a 2/3 to 1/3 structure on our shows. We like to invite a guest from outside of the community (another community/individual) who we think would provide value to the Lil Nouns audience but also allow us to profile Lil Nouns to them. This section of the show usually takes up 2/3 of our show time. To date, we have hosted the following external guests:

Team Bios

• April - I’m April, a web3 enthusiast who has been exploring the NFT space for over a year now, yet to my detriment I only properly dove into the Nouns eco-system a couple of months ago. Since then I have become obsessed with how this dream of an open-source brand can succeed. Outside of this world my background is in PR & communications (in-house & agency side) having worked for many years in Amsterdam and London, before following my other passion (skiing) and moving to the other side of the world. When I’m not chatting about Nouns, you’ll find me hanging with Moonbirds & Creatures.
• Cardno - I entered the space at the back end of 2021, around Christmas time. I initially became aware of NFTs through the visibility on twitter of BAYC (of course) and after falling into the ‘Fast Food Punks’ discord, (strange, I know) I found myself on a call with the founder within 10 minutes and being given an NFT 101 chat from him. I was onboarded. Since then, I have been a moderator of various projects such as 3Landers, Chimpers and Lorem. I have also been the host of the official 3Landers twitter spaces show. I am currently a signer for Lil Funding Gnosis wallet in Lil Nouns and have just been voted in as a Lil Representative.
• Crxsher - I entered the space in February 2021, first in crypto, then in NFTs on Harmony, and finally in Ethereum in April. My first purchase was a piece of Sandbox land, which I then traded for two BAYC Apes, and the rest is history. I’ve had a few successes, made many mistakes, but what has never wavered is my belief that Web3 constitutes a major shift in how the world will interact in the future. I’m a frequent guest on many Twitter spaces in addition to co-hosting the 3Landers spaces, hoping to share, engage, learn and grow as we move forward in NFTs. I’m most active these days in BAYC, Ghxsts, Chimpers, Zen Academy and Lil Nouns, although you’ll find me engaging in several others as well.
• English - I entered this space as a research consultant for a friend who was looking to leverage their musical IP assets in web 3. Upon my research I engaged with multiple communities and ended up moderating for 3landers and Lorem. I am currently working with a web2 gaming company looking to launch their first nft project.

Compensation Model

Contest rewards, art & miscellaneous expenses:

• 0.0420 ETH x 12 for the weekly giveaway Team reward + operations, guest booking, research, pre -calls, show writing etc (see budget below):
• 0.25 ETH per host, per episode. (The same ask as Proposal 68)
• 17 Episodes running from 6 Feb - 24 Apr 2023 (one TLNS show each week, five episode pilot of a daily show).
• Delivery of a supporting podcast of each episode Professional equipment.
• 1 ETH for 1 x Rodecaster Pro I & 3 microphones.
