TL;DR

Brook is seeking 13.75 ETH — 4 ETH of funding for a period of 3 months to cover the costs of conducting brainstorming/office hour sessions, producing podcast episodes, and Content Pod’s operations, and an additional 1.75 ETH as retroactive funding for podcast episodes 5-10.

Introduction

I’m Brook, a podcast host, active Lil Nouns contributor, founding member of Lil Representatives, and active DAO-to-DAO governance participant.

Participatory media – brainstorming, podcasts, and content – can help to engage and involve the community in the decision-making process and its overall direction. I have been fortunate enough to contribute as much as I can in that regard, and would like to continue to do so.

Scope

Brainstorm Tuesdays

I have been hosting weekly brainstorming calls, which have been used to gather ideas, set requirements, and drive action that will help improve the DAO. These sessions, which have been called “Brainstorm Tuesdays,” may be changed in the future to “Office Hours” to discuss ideas to propose at Nouns.

Meet the Lil Nouners Podcast

The podcast features a new episode each week, in which I invite guests to join me in a conversation about a variety of topics related to Web3.

The process of creating each episode involves several steps. First, I invite guests to participate in the podcast and schedule a time for recording. Next, I record the episode using appropriate audio equipment and software. After the recording is complete, I edit the episode to remove any filler words or repetitive phrases, and to adjust the audio quality for maximum clarity and ease of listening.

Once the episode is edited, I create video snippets of the most interesting or informative moments, and add sound engineering to enhance the overall audio quality. I then assemble the various tracks and add music, and include show transcripts for those who prefer to read rather than listen. Finally, I distribute the podcast to various players via Simplecast, so that it can be easily accessed by the everyone.

I am committed to creating high-quality content for the Meet the Lil Nouners podcast, and to providing a platform for experts and thought leaders to share their insights and experiences with the community. I believe that this podcast has the potential to be a valuable resource for those interested in Lil Nouns, the Nouniverse, and Web3, and to contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the community.

Content Pod Operations

I collaborated with @motiondesign.eth to pilot Content Pod. Some of my work entailed reaching out to creatives to call for their participation, building and maintaining Content Pod’s website, leading operations, and communicating and coordinating with builders to scope work.

Since then, Content Pod has been restructured, and my work in leading its operations will continue.

Positive Externalities

By hosting regular brainstorming sessions, a DAO can tap into the collective knowledge and creativity of the community, and generate a wide range of ideas and concepts that can be evaluated and refined. This can help to ensure that the DAO is responsive to the needs and interests of the community, and can help to drive innovation and progress within the organization.

Podcasts can also be a valuable tool for engaging and involving the community. By hosting regular podcast episodes, a DAO can provide a platform for experts and thought leaders to share their perspectives and experiences, and offer valuable insights and information to the community. This can help to foster a sense of connection and collaboration within the community.

The Ask

• Total - 13.75 ETH
  • 1.75 ETH to be sent as retroactive funding of podcast episodes 5-10.
    • Please note that with due consideration of current market conditions, this funding request has been reduced from 3 ETH (initial funding by Lil Funding).
  • 12.00 ETH paid over 3 months (Dec 18, 2022 through March 15, 2023) which equates to 4 ETH/month.
  • The logic behind this strange date range is because it comes out to exactly 7500000 seconds which makes the payment amount in wei divided by the duration of the stream in seconds a whole number. This is a technical requirement of a Sablier stream to work.
