Lil Nouns DAO

TL;DR

Gm everyone, my name is Lil Al409, I have been the resident at Lil Nouns DAO for the past six months. During that time I have been actively helping our community grow by making sure Lil Nouners feel welcome and at home, providing feedback to builders, initiating grassroots subCommunities within our DAO (Lil Sisters, for example), helping foster cross-subDAO participation by leveraging my position at Nouns Square, and continuing to be a spokesperson on any external podcast/twitter space I can get my hands on to spread the word and try and onboard builders to our community!

It has been such a fun journey, with so much room for improvement, and so much to learn. I love being here and serving our community the best way I can. After gathering community feedback, I’d like to extend my residency at a 45 ETH valuation.

A LOOK BACK

Although it has been difficult to quantify, I’d like to provide a general overview of my accomplishments, roles and responsibilities of my time thus far.

• Discord Moderation

  • I welcome everyone who drops by. I moderate discussions, help anyone who has trouble verifying, logging in or wants to know more about Lil Nouns.
  • I have been polishing the look and feel of our Discord server to provide maximum clarity and minimize cognitive overload. I believe it is in a much, much better place now. As we progress, I am optimistic that we will find a configuration that is best suited to Lil Nouns.

• Community

  • As the Community POC, I have been working with a variety of Communities within web3 representing us, one can easily refer to these:
    • Odds and Ends Podcast (2x)
    • Meet the Lil Nouners Podcast
    • Noun O’clock (I’ve represented us since inception)
    • Rug Radio spaces on governance
    • Invited on Lucky Trader HQ twitter space to chat lil nouns
  • Cultivating relationships with other subDAO communities through onboarding, and outreach.
  • Being an accessible identity layer for Nouniverse is one of our Ethos, in alignment with that, I have helped setup Lil Sisterswith co-founder beautyandthepunk.
  • I paid for a premium notion account and built out the DAO’s shared file repository
  • I am always in our discord, addressing the concerns and needs of our community. Fun fact, I am writing this while I address concerns pertaining to the state of Lil Nouns’ Prop House and Lil Reps.
  • Social media content: running community account, scoping/prepping all spaces with toady (July through august), doing golden globes, supporting additional twitter spaces like the lil nouns show
  • I helped organize Lil Golden Globes - an award ceremony for top contributing community members in different categories.
  • In general, if you have tried to build something in lil nouns DAO, I have been there to offer constructive feedback and worked to champion builders to bring the most value possible to our DAO and the grander Nouniverse.

• Leadership

  • Acquiring Nouns has been one of Lil Nouns’ primary movements. I have been part of the Nouns Acquisition Committee to actively bid and acquire Nouns.
  • Community calls have been a major event for information dissemination at Lil Nouns. I have been preparing for, leading, hosting, and recording our weekly community calls since the first week of the project, now known as Lil Town Halls.
  • Championed Data Pod in their graduation as Nouns Mandate winning team.
    • Helping with updated governance report, Orchestrated Datapod multi-sig, troubleshot issues with Prophouse mandate proposal. Scoping and requirements for Datapod Prop house idea.
  • Prop house has been a great way to onboard builders into Lil Nouns. During my tenure, I have helped setup Prop House, been a liesion between PH team and lil nouns, and have served as a signer as well as a Twitter space host. Note that Prop House Prince SQ X is now owning this process and I am not.
  • League of Lils is our participation gateway at Nouns governance. I helped in the inception of League of Lils by scoping, setting up elections, and onboarding them.
  • Execute multisig and lead for Lil Funding team. I have been owning/documenting the process of processing and recording all funding decisions in notion since season 2. I worked 1 on 1 with BrianJ to define custom requirements to built out AddressBoard which is the DAO’s new lil funding application portal which has since been implemented by lil sisters and content pod.
  • I have helped kickstart Content Pod by preparing leads to own the process outright. I have continued supporting from the sidelines.

• Compensation to date

  • Prop 15 (residency) - 50 ETH
  • One time bonus requested to lil funding for expanded scope - 4 ETH

THE FUTURE

I would like to continue serving my community by adding more energy to what I have been doing thus far, and focusing on the following:

    • To build
    • To feel empowered
    • To be ambitious
    • To grow
  • Surfacing opportunities for meaningful development / props
    • Identifying / nominating ambitious builders
    • Supporting and empowering ambitious props for Lil Nouns DAO
    • Developing larger projects for Lil Nouns to propose to Nouns DAO
    • Continue marketing us via podcasts/twitter spaces, and any other form of media I can leverage to spread the word of who we are and what cool things we are up to!
  • And become a malleable respondent to all of our DAO’s needs.

THE ASK

During my first tenure, I have been paid 54 ETH. With due consideration to current market conditions, I have decided to request 45 ETH over the same exact stream time (December 22 2022 through June 13 2023) The logic behind this strange date range is because it comes out to exactly 15000000 seconds which makes the payment amount in wei divided by the duration of the stream in seconds a whole number. This is a technical requirement of a sablier stream to work.

I have decided to cancel my previous prop and ask for a lower amount because I think we have some really talented/committed members of the DAO who are not getting enough recognition/compensation for their work. I couldn’t be here without the support and hard work of the community around me, and I think this gives more room to compensate some of our dedicated resources who deserve it the most.
