TLDR: Replicate Nouns DAOs process in allocating fast capital to DAO contributors via small/retroactive grants. - Refunding same wallet with 25 ETH, send 15 ETH to Data Pod multisig, and 10 ETH to Content Pod Multisig.

Intro

The on-chain proposal process is not ideal for encouraging small, one-off, or alpha versions of projects/tooling. Eager creators shouldn’t have to wait days for an on-chain proposal to be passed to receive a small amount of ETH. The DAO should not have to submit a formal proposal each time it wants to quickly reward valuable contributors.

Lil Funding Pool

We propose establishing a pool of funds and Lil Nouns NFTs to encourage creators, devs, artists, and contributors to build with Lil Nouns. This pool of capital and NFTs, will be sent to a Gnosis Safe controlled by a small group of Lil Nouners and Lil Nouns DAO.

Proposed budget: 50 ETH

• 25 ETH for lil funding directly
• 15 ETH for Data Pod (see below lil funding prop)
• 10 ETH for Content Pod (see below data pod prop)

The aim of the pool will be to:

Acknowledge past contributions to Lil Nouns through retroactive funding Grant funds for the development of small, one-off, or alpha version projects Reward ongoing contributors to Lil Nouns Signal that retroactive funding is a viable path to build on Lil Nouns Return Lil Nounder ownership back to to the community. As part of this proposal design, the Lil Nounders expressed a desire to return a substantive portion of their ownership back to the community. To action this desire, they’ve recommended that every 90th Lil Noun will be sent to the Lil Grants safe to be given to community members.

Funding Committee

The Lil Funding Committee will monitor the builder community, retroactively fund previous work as it comes up, and receive informal requests/applications for small project grants. The projects and amounts will be at the committee’s discretion.

The committee’s gnosis safe will require 2 of 5 Lil Nouners to sign, with Lil Nouns DAO acting as a largely symbolic owner and backup. We recommend keeping the signer group small with a team of experienced signers and then add more as we scale up operations and size of the pool.

Future State: We are excited to begin our pilot of AddressBoard to begin taking wallet gated funding requests, allow for community to delegation weighted vote on ideas to reflect sentiment, and also comment and reply directly under a proposal. This tool will also incorporate a budget that is a reflection of the amount of ETH allocated for lil funding that has not yet been spent to help make budget informed decisions.

Data Pod

Data pod mission is to organize Nounish information, to make it accessible, insightful, and useful. For the past months, Data Pod has been providing on-chain data reporting and insights to the community and building data infrastructure for Lil Nouns DAO.

Past work of Data Pod includes Governance and Treasury reports, several Dune dashboards, lilnounsmetrics.com, a Treasury forecast tool, deep dive analysis and recurrent on-chain data support to the community.

Recently, Data Pod was one of the winners of Nouns Mandate Prop House with the Nouns Metrics project (https://prop.house/proposal/1178](https://prop.house/proposal/1178), which, due to the interoperability between Lil Nouns DAO and Nouns DAO, will allow to bring some of the tools built under the scope of Nouns Mandate also to Lil Nouns.

Data Pod funding will be used to reward ongoing contributors and to fund building an infrastructure data tool that will make on and off-chain available from a single point of contact for Lil Nouns DAO.

Content Pod

Content Pod is here to gather and present Lil nouns’ information in exciting, Nounish, and informative manner.

Currently, content pod is running a pilot where it is funding the DAOs top content needs; from onboarding, to creating memes, to creating social media content.

The pod is an experimental structure whereby it allows for a combination of Open Scope and Closed Scope work. This request is a continuation of the scope from Prop 42 to continue funding content and operations
