What is Agora?

Agora is a delegate marketplace that was recently funded by the Mandates Prop House. Agora enables Nouners to signal their funding preference or delegate their votes to others based on alignment of views, leading to more clarity and lower friction for builders to get funded to do valuable things.

Agora successfully launched on Nouns (see more here) and is looking to expand to Lil Nouns following clear community interest in increasing delegation and voter participation. Bringing Agora to Lil Nouns requires software work, as well as community & operations work

What value does this bring to the Lil Nouns Community?

The number of votes used in each Lil Nouns prop hovers around 10-15% whereas Nouns is closer to 25-30%. This leaves us at risk of not meeting quorum on important proposals, as well as being more vulnerable to bad actors. A healthy delegation ecosystem is critical to a healthy DAO (see atareh’s report) and will also lead to important conversations around the DAO’s objectives and values.

• Create an onboarding flow on lilnouns.wtf (for https://lilnouns.wtf/ideas/21) and Agora to guide new Lil Nouners to delegate or get informed about governance

Based on the work done so far for Nouns DAO, it’s becoming clear that a decent amount of work is required to drive adoption of Agora and increase delegation. For Nouns DAO, this has been Yitong, but he cannot do this for Lil Nouns and therefore needs additional support to ensure the project is successful. This role will be held by me (mrtn.eth).

• Onboard all Lil Nouns delegates
• Do 1:1 calls with delegates to get them using Agora, get their feedback, help them write their platform
• Drive Lil Nouners to delegate their votes
  • KPI: Drive average votes per proposal to 20% (currently around 10%)
• Reach out personally to Lil Nouners to get them to delegate if they aren’t voting
• Outreach to new members
• Host a Lil Nouns Delegate Pitch Contest
• Create write-ups on Lil Noun proposals (example)
• Get user feedback on Agora and share with Agora team
• Collect data on voting, inactive voters, increases in delegation
• Be consistently active in Lil Nouns Discord and Twitter Spaces
• 5 ETH for 6 weeks of work

Long-Term Value

This will significantly improve the delegate and voting experience in the Lil Nouns community, and signal to Nouns builders that Lil Nouns is excited to help support their work and migrations to our DAO, bringing us even more great contributors.
