DEGEN: Vote for CRVs replacement
As part of the (slow) process of pivoting the DEGEN index towards a selection of assets more worthy of the name, we’re looking for an asset to replace CRV - the largest asset currently within DEGEN, with a circulating market cap of US$600 million at the time of writing.
The following list of tokens was suggested following conversations in the Indexed Discord amongst active members of the DAO. Recall that in order to be a valid asset, there must be ‘sufficient’ liquidity in a X/WETH pair on Uniswap V2 (we consider ~US$100,000 sufficient), and the circulating market cap must be at least US$50 million.
The choices (and their circulating market caps at the time of writing) are:
- WOO - US$308 million
- BOND - $US131 million
- WSCRT - US$71 million (in SCRT, will have to have price mapped)
- None [keep DEGEN as is until the next time of asking]
Choices that were mooted but rendered invalid due to insufficient market cap or no Uniswap V2 market were:
- HEGIC - US$40 million
- VISR - $US17 million
- XDB - US$19 million
- MUSE - US$12 million
- ALCX - [no Uniswap V2 ALCX/WETH market]
