Unlock Protocol

We have successfully concluded the 7k ARB Unlock X Arbitrum Grants round on Grants Stack. We saw 21 projects, some being first-time users of Unlock get rewarded for building with us. Overall it was a well-received experiment in retro grant funding and even caught the attention of Arbitrum. We saw a direct correlation between this round, and increased usage of Unlock on Arbitrum.

While it was discussed in the original proposal, we wanted to bring it to snapshot, while adding in a retro payment for blahkheart for all his hard work in helping us access the Arb tokens. Collectively we’ve been working on this grants program since Dec, and are very happy with the results.

As stated in the proposal you can find here -https://unlock.community/t/funding-unlock-protocol-s-ecosystem-using-retroqf-grants-gitcoins-grants-stack/494 the industry standard Grants Stack Round Manager fee is 10% of the total matching pool. We did extra work, but because we are also DAO contributors we will keep the amount at 10%. This would equal 700 ARB. This is a retroactive payment as the round has already concluded.

We also wish to to retroactively pay blahkheart 500 ARB for his work on helping us access the ARB tokens - Arbitrum L1 to L2 Messaging (aka Retryable tickets). Unlock DAO collectively holds 75,000 ARB tokens.

We are looking to add this proposal into the 7k Grants Round Payout (which goes directly to funding the smart contract which will then directly pay grantees), to make it easier for delegates to vote, and not spend double the gas fees. This would bring the final proposal on Tally to 8200 ARB tokens.
