Setting a quorum
As seen in many other successful DAOs a quoruom (minimum requirement of Land for proposal to pass) is crucial. The main logic behind it is that people that are enthusiastic for a certain project will likely vote while someone who has not heard of the project and doesnโt want to spend time researching it will likely not vote at all (or simply vote against). Setting a quorum helps avoiding votes passing that are supported by very few and gives security to holders that random proposals wonโt be passed. This potentially also relieves our DAO Treasury Board as they would not have to worry about proposals with little interest.
Historically, the number of Land in proposals didnโt exceed 250 very often, therefore I do not think that it makes sense to make the quorum higher at the moment.
The quorum can be included through a snapshot plugin, code is openly available in the official snapshot github repository โsnapshot-pluginsโ (https://github.com/snapshot-labs/snapshot-plugins/blob/master/src/plugins/quorum/index.ts)
The quorum should be:
| Voter | Cast Power | Vote & Rationale |
|---|---|---|
0x1cA4...405227 | 24 | 250 Land |
0xE0A2...4553CD | 20 | 100 Land |
0x3d70...9b1322 | 19 | 150 Land |
0x84A9...5CeD34 | 15 | 150 Land |
0xB967...5F9864 | 8 | 100 Land |
