I am submitting this proposal on behalf of The Homies DAO and Iman Europe, along with support from HIFI Labs.

About The Homies DAO was founded by Iman Europe, a multi-talented artist, philanthropist, and builder in the web3 space. As Head of Artist Relations at Sound.xyz, Iman found herself juggling many responsibilities and struggling to maintain her own wellness. Through her own experience, as well as the experiences of her fellow artists, she recognized the need for a community and organization dedicated to promoting wellness for creatives.

With that in mind, Iman founded The Homies DAO, a community led organization committed to supporting the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of artists. She recognized the potential of web3 technology to empower artists to prioritize their wellness, cultivate sustainable practices, and connect with like-minded peers.

What will we do with the ParkDAO Grant? With the support of the Park DAO, Homies DAO will be using this grant to fund their first ever “Homies Hang”. This is the first event by The Homies DAO, prioritizing holistic well-being and community building held in Los Angeles, CA. This is with the intention to promote and engage in overall wellness, health and connection with one another.

We are partnering with some brands to offer exclusive gifts to take home with the intention of leaving everyone feeling grounded. With sponsorship we will ensure we acknowledge you in all of our marketing assets and content and offer 50% off a bike if you are coming to the event. 20% of the funds will be going to our partner HIFI Labs and the rest will go towards our treasury for the next event (in the event that all funds are not used).

Goals

1. Bring awareness to Homies DAO
2. Build a ritual/practice around this event
3. Wellness activations in community
4. Invite contacts & other wellness friends in LA to attend
5. Part 1 - “Spinintention” cycling class
6. Part 2 - connect, reground, soundbaths

Schedule & location: Saturday July 29th 10:30am - 2:30pm at Burn Cycling: 1218 N La Brea Ave. Inglewood, CA 90302

We will kick off the day at AM with a cycling class led by Iman Europe- “Spintention.”

Following the class there will be an immersive soundbath led by “HAZE” nurturing spiritual and emotional wellness. Afterwards we will conduct a session to connect and check in with one another. Setting intentions and conducting a Sharing Circle.

More about the the sharing circle: We will all have little papers where people can write what they are feeling & share or put in a jar. i.e. sharing affirmations with each other (we all pick one):

• One lesson (something you’ve learned a place you can take accountability)
• One blessing (something you’re grateful for)
• An affirmation (a word you need today)

We will wrap the day with some music from a friend of the Homies, ABJO, connect with one another to get to know each other, gift bags with exclusive Homies DAO gifts and gifts from our sponsors.

Deliverables

1. A shout out to The Park DAO for the support on all socials and bring awareness to what Fridays at The Park is.
2. Add in a logo for socials on flyer, Partiful, and recap video.

Conclusion The Homies DAO is one of the first artist wellness DAOs that is working to create a safe and inclusive space for artists to share resources, access wellness services and education, and prioritize their own wellbeing. By leveraging the power of the blockchain and web3, The Homies DAO aims to transform the way artists approach their creative work and personal lives. We believe that holding IRL meetups that focus on a 360 wellness is important to allow us to connect more vulnerably. The Homies DAO is fortunate to have been able to be offered a space to hold this first event to bring awareness to the project. With funding from The Park DAO, we will be able to fund our first ever meet up that will set in motion for many more in the future events and in many more cities.The funds will be used for venue, group led workshops, decorations, custom gifts, buying bikes for homies who can’t afford it and media coverage.
