SIP-00023 Propose FOMO Nouns On Chain
Background 🦈 @Rayo and @Forager, two early Shark DAO members, have been working on a proposal for a new social minting tool FOMO Nouns. The full proposal details and discussion can be found here: https://discourse.nouns.wtf/t/fomo-nouns-force-mint-our-nouns/117/24
This project sprung out of early discussions in Shark DAO about how to mint a Shark, and we still aim for the first use of our tool to be minting a Shark. After significant research and discussion, we realized this tool could be expanded to benefit the entire Nouns ecosystem and became the FOMO Nouns project.
Purpose 🙋♂️ This proposal’s goal is:
- Ask Shark DAO to officially initiate the Nouns DAO on-chain voting
We think this project is a great example of the impact Shark DAO and its members can have on the Nouns and NFT ecosystem, and we hope it’s a great milestone for the DAO to sponsor its first home-grown initiative in Nouns DAO.
Voting yes on this Snapshot does not constitute a ‘yes’ vote for the proposal itself. This Snapshot is just to propose FOMO Nouns on-chain.

Pros:
- Shows Shark DAO and our community can actively drive the Nouns ecosystem forward
- Officially launch our first Nouns DAO proposal
Cons:
- Not all sharks may agree with the proposal specifics
- Not all sharks may want to sponsor a proposal that doesn’t directly benefit the SharkDAO
