Purpose

This proposal details a plans for purchasing Lil Noun 33; the first Shark in the Lil Nouns collection using the Curation Budget approved in SIP-00031.

Details

SIP-00031 established a 20 ETH budget for the curation team to purchase Noun adjacent projects and support the Nouns Ecosystem. The SIP was approved 8 months ago (Oct 1, 2021) and has a remaining budget of 17.94 ETH. SIP-00031 limits the purchase of an NFT to a 1 ETH Maximum.

Recently a Nouns derivative project called Lil Nouns launched. Lil Nouns is an expansion DAO based on Nouns DAO, Lil Nouns DAO works to create a new layer within the Nouns ecosystem; Nouns as kids. By expanding the ecosystem, Lil Nouns DAO aims at exposing more people to Nouns.

Lil Noun 33 is the first Shark in the Lil Noun’s collection. It was purchased by SharkDAO member dropnerd for 2.1 ETH (+0.027 ETH for gas). dropnerd has offered it to SharkDAO at costs (2.127 ETH).

At 2.127 ETH, this purchasse is above the limite of 1 ETH set by SIP-00031, and requires a vote.

As Lil Noun’s is a thriving Nouns derivative project, it would be consistent with the SharkDAO ethos to own the first shark. This purchase would come out of the previously erstablished Curation budget.

dropnerd made 3 bids at auction to win this Lil Noun. The first 2 bids were returned when outbid but the gas was not. Bid 1 (gas 0.0087) Bid 2 (gas 0.0091) Bid 3 (Winning Bid) (gas 0.0093) Total = 2.1 (winning price) + 0.0087 (bid 1 gas) + 0.0091 (bid 2 gas) + 0.0093 (bid 3 gas) = 2.127 ETH

This is a proposal to purchase Lil Noun 33, the first Lil Noun Shark, from Shark member dropnerd, who is offering at the winning auction price of 2.1 ETH (+0.027 ETH gas) and would be paid for with the Curation budget which has 17.94 ETH remaining.
