Purpose

Fund an initial buildout of the SharkDAO Communications team

Summary

A team of DAO members will contribute towards a regular cadence of articles, social media posts, and otherwise public-facing content from SharkDAO to build brand awareness and proliferate our DAO across web3.

Details

• Expected Deliverables:

  • Content around creations or activities from within the DAO.
    • Shark Bait Curation artist interviews.
    • Alpha degen content.
    • Occasional long-form written content.
    • Copy edit / writing support on SharkDAO releases.
  • Increased social media presence.
    • Twitter, Mirror, Medium, Discourse

• Budget:

  • We are asking for 21 ETH from the SharkDAO Treasury, distributed as follows.
    • 5 ETH allocated to a Coordinape for the delegated “Comms Team.”
      • Comms Team:
        • Synth
        • Pixel Codex
        • Cryptasha
        • DelPiero
        • Jawshua
        • Toaster
        • marxistmillionaire
      • Expectations to be responsible with the delegated budget, actively pursue new SharkDAO communicative strategies or brand initiatives.
      • Coordinape team is reselected every 3 months.
    • 10 ETH allocated to the Comms Team in order to issue grants and bounties for specific content over a period of 3 months.
      • Grants and bounties must be 4/7 approved from the Comms Team.
    • 2 ETH allocated to Cryptasha as a backlog payment for past Twitter activity.
    • 4 ETH allocated to Cryptasha for a 3 month contract.
      • Lead on the official SharkDAO twitter and any affiliated accounts (e.g. our Nouns accounts).
        • Multiple daily posts.
        • Execution on the Twitter strategy in accordance with individual teams in SharkDAO.
        • Execution of posting in other social channels in coordination with the Comms Team.
        • Biweekly scheduled meetings with SharkDAO or writeups to provide updates, KPI reporting.
      • Contract starts on an agreed date between Cryptasha and the SharkDAO multi-sig.
        • Paid across three monthly transactions or in another method as chosen by the multi-sig.

• Oversight:

  • A Comms Oversight Committee will be composed of multi-sig members + additional members to replace anyone who overlaps with the Comms Team.
    • Individuals from the Comms Oversight Committee can pause any budgeted proposals.
    • A simple majority of members of the Comms Oversight Committee can add or remove any member of the Comms Team, or any established communications role, if they act misaligned with the interests of SharkDAO.
    • A simple majority of the Comms Oversight Committee can freeze any of the budget associated with this proposal.

• Treasury funds are spent ineffectively
