Placebo proposal to test if DAO voting process works with Protocol Contracts
Abstract: This is a placebo proposal to test if the whole Rarible Protocol governance flow works and if DAO is able to control and manage Procotol Contracts as expected.
Motivation: Rarible successfully transferred ownership of the Rarible Protocol contracts to the DAO and this test is the final stage in validating proper functioning of the Rarible protocol governance.
Rationale: The Rarible Protocol ownership transfer design has been audited and internally tested. This live test via on-chain governance flow is the final stage in confirming the ownership transfer functions fully and that the DAO is all set to start voting on proposals that affect the Rarible Protocol contracts (e.g. Protocol fee collection).
Specifics:
This proposal sets the Rarible Protocol fee to zero (which is the case currently, hence it’s a placebo proposal)
