Purple DAO

TLDR: This proposal funds the sponsorship of an ethCC Farcaster meetup. The meetup will be hosted at La Felicita in Paris. The requested budget for this event is 1 ETH.

Description:

ethCC is one of the biggest crypto conferences of the year, and the biggest crypto conference in Europe. There are a lot of casters attending this year, and so we think it’s the perfect opportunity to spread the word about the protocol—particularly to the non-US audience.

Meetups, like the ones organized at NFT NYC and ETHDenver, have been hugely successful in the past. They bring builders together, generate excitement around the protocol, and foster new friendships. Most importantly, they make our community stronger.

The excitement around Farcon this past month was electrifying, but of course many members of our community weren’t able to attend. EthCC is the next opportunity of that magnitude, and we ask for your support so we can make it a similarly exciting time for casters.

Budget:

We’re proposing Purple cover 1 ETH of a total 1.5 ETH budget for this event. Discove and OrangeDAO have offered to cover the remaining .5 ETH.

We’ve calculated the costs as follows:

• €1440 to reserve the space for 60 people, with one drink for each attendee and light food
• €720 for one additional drink per person
• €360 to purchase extra food and any other misc expenses

Total: €2520

1.5 ETH at current prices is valued at around €2,520. But, if there are any leftover funds following reimbursements, we intend to send them back to the DAO.

Multisig:

A new ⅔ multisig has been created for this proposal at mainnet address 0x1965982D1A0A6F6461A36940f4DCf7748CDC7C13. All three organizers of the meetup (@ahn, @matthew, and @df) have agreed to approve/deny reimbursements on behalf of the DAO.
