Simple Summary

Update the current emission rate to complement the protocol deployment on Optimism.

Abstract

At this time, Premia’s emission rate is currently 1.8M PREMIA per year. Plus an additional bootstrap amount of 100k for Optimism to be allocated over the next ~90 days.

With the release of the protocol on the Optimism network, it may make sense to incentivize these new pools with Liquidity Mining rewards long term. To ensure alignment of vision and incentives between Liquidity Providers, Holders, and the Protocol, a multiple choice selection to include Optimism emissions is being presented to the Premia Assembly.

Motivation

Continue to provide emissions that reflect and align with Premia’s long term vision, prevent unnecessary dilution, and provide sustainable reward systems.

This agreed upon emission rate would become active upon completion of vote. Further changes can be made using a subsequent snapshot governance vote. If you would like to change the total emission amount per year please raise and discuss in the discord.
