Goal: Establish continuity for interacting with the Orange DAO Foundation across 4 seasons for better efficiency, building greater expertise and a stronger relationship with the Foundation Director(s).

Description: The Gov Comm is looking for a semi-permanent member to act as an interface to the Orange DAO Foundation. (The Orange DAO Foundation is our Cayman Islands entity, acting as a wrapper to Orange DAO.)

We’d like to establish some continuity here and are looking for someone able to make a 2-year commitment, divided into four 6-month seasons.

The workload is expected to be light. Mainly taking committee and proposal outputs, running it by our Director of the Cayman entity (Eduardo), possibly interfacing with the legal team to review in the US and/or Cayman, and finally having the Board of the Orange DAO Foundation pass the proposal. Prior experience working with a board, legal team, and offshore entities may be helpful.

The role will report to the Governance Committee and work closely with the Treasury team. The Governance committee explored and agreed on a set of qualifications for an ideal candidate for the role of Orange DAO Foundation Liaison, carried out interviews, and on May 24th 2022 selected James Green to carry out this role. Subsequent appointments into this position will also be handled by Governance.

The Gov Comm proposes a bounty of 15k ORANGE per season (a total of 60k for the full 2 year term).

Having a dedicated role for this might also decrease our spending on legal entities in Cayman/US.
