Proposal: Stop maintenance of the USDT protection pool, possibly transfer to Polygon
Hello everyone
Staking pool that provides liquidity for USDT Protection on Opium.Finance was the first and very successful product, that was launched in January 2021.
It was just in time when FUD was spreading around Tether and there were many different doubts. The community was divided into two groups, who were betting for and against USDT, which allowed to create a protection market for USDT and keep it running for a while.
Recently we see that the demand for both purchasing and providing protection decreased and the USDT Protection pool does not see much interest.
So I propose to stop maintaining the USDT pool on the Ethereum mainnet. Preferably, if the community would like to keep maintaining it, it might be migrated to Polygon, to reduce maintenance overhead.
