WHO IS JOHN HAMON

John Hamon is the name and, well, nobody really knows much more than that. His face appears on posters all over Paris and has been since 2001. Often found next to Invader or M. CHAT, John is a mystery and a joke in the art world. His motto is ‘It is the promotion that makes the artist or the zero degree of art.’ Recently, John has shown a lot of interest developing ideas around AR and Metaverse/NFTs. He has reached out to Coralorca after a Twitter follow, and they talked about doing some nounish things together, starting with a noggles campaign.

VALUE PROPOSITION

It is interesting for NounsDAO to position themselves along something mysterious that comes from the streets, from the art world, and support artists while doing so. People will notice the glasses and wonder what it all means, it will trigger their imagination and curiosity. On top of that, France has a strong Web3 community that will surely notice.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

A total of 1000 wheat posters and John will change his PFP on twitter and instagram during the campaign. 500 posters 70100cm in Paris, with 10 of them in a circular “profile picture” 100cm100cm format. 250 posters 70100cm in Marseille, with 10 of them in a circular “profile picture” 100cm100cm format. 250 70100cm in Lyon, with 10 of them in a circular “profile picture” 100cm100cm format.

a bonus projection on the BNF (National French Library) similar to picture below John will make sure this is well documented with short movies and pictures. I also have contacts in Paris if we need additional videos. Some quick mockups by the artist: Regarding legality: the posters will be placed on tolerated areas like construction sites, public poster boards etc And the circular ones will be placed where there are already a few invaders and other street artists, where it is tolerated. Coral Orca will organize a street marketing campaign next to the posters with chalk stencils. We decided to have the noggles in different colors as well and not show any website url - keep it mysterious for now. John will also post on his instagram account about the campaign and modify his profile picture to add the nouns glasses.
