• Atrium is seeking 10 ETH is retro-active reward for the work done between Jan 2024 - Sept 2025 (21 months) building the Quack and Lola original IP using a Nouns primitive. (⌐◨-◨)
• This proposal doesn’t make any meaningful dent in our operating costs, it’s more to signal to the team that Nouns still cares and wants us to push harder.

• Quack and Lola first creating content especially social media focused back in June 2023.
• Atrium has been self-funding and scaling operations majorly out of profits and revenue earned from this workstream.
• Nouns funded a one-time retroactive grant of 36 ETH in Jan 2024.

What is the grant used for?

• This is purely a retro-active grant from the DAO as a super-patron to show that they still care about Quack and Lola as a brand and wants us to push harder.
• Grant ask is <=10 days worth of trailing auction revenue.
• We will come back after deliberating with the community for a forward-looking proposal for what doubling down could look like.

What is Quack?

• Quack and Lola are original (non-cco) IP built on top of a cc0 primitive (nouns characters and glasses). Think how dracula is a public domain figure but hotel transylvania dracula is owned by Sony Entertainment. Atrium owns the US and EU trademarks / copyrights on Quack and Lola marks + designs.

How is it involved with Nouns Movie if at all?

• Completely different workstream although managed within Atrium. Its budgeting and production is marked entirely different from this workstream.

How big is the Quack operations team today?

• We have 4 full-time people on content production, 4 people on consumer products / brand management and licensing. (All staff located in the US and Japan)
• We have 4 part-time staff in Korea, Japan, Thailand and more leading localisation efforts. (see meetquack_kr, meetquack_th, meetquack_jp etc)
• All the payroll is covered entirely by Atrium.
