Note from the proposer:

I understand that this timeline is incredibly compressed - for everyone. For you, the voter and for us to produce the event. However with this team I am confident that we will not have to sacrifice quality of the IRL experience and can position Nouns at the heart of Ethereum.

At this point in time, when you’re reading this proposal, the team is already in production mode:

• activating teams to demo their apps,
• aligning on scheduling,
• onboarding additional sponsors which will lower the actual financial ask,
• negotiate fees with vendors,
• well, and much more :)

After the successful launch of the “Haus of Nouns” event in May, Benjamin, Jason from EF and QZ from ETHNYC are teaming up to expand the event format to showcase the best of Nouns and Ethereum Applications during ETHNYC to 100+ people on August 14 at World of Apps ⌐◨-◨ at SuperRare Gallery NYC.

Haus of Nouns is a creative, in-person experience that blends Ethereum culture with art, games, and community started by Benjamin Latsko. The past edition was focused on live art and interactive spaces, but this one will be different.

This time, it will be bigger and feature live demos of Ethereum applications in collaboration with Jason Chaskin.

This is a new iteration of Haus of Nouns: World of Apps ⌐◨-◨

Welcome to World of Apps ⌐◨-◨

On August 14, we’ll have Ethereum App demos, artists live painting, creative spaces for people to explore Nouns and gaming stations. A space curated to host up to 100 people with the goal to make Ethereum fun and cultural again, and bring that spirit to life.

Benjamin will curate and produce the overall event experience - including the art installations with artworks from past seasons and events, layout, vibe, and community elements.

Ethereum app demos will be handpicked by Jason Chaskin. Jason is the new App Relations and Research lead at the Ethereum Foundation. EF has signalled support with a $5k USD grant.

Jason will curate a mix of:

• Apps already delivering value
• Value aligned apps that haven’t found PMF yet
• New launches worth highlighting

Artists in Residence

For this event we will mainly lean into our existing artists network in NYC.

Artists in Residence will be:

Gossamer Rozen

Gossamer will be commissioned to make a 1-1 garment with a bespoke artwork. At the event we will display her artwork and she will bring her knitting machine to make another 1-1 garment on-site during the event.

• More local artists will be approached after the proposal passes to join and make art during the event.

Why It Matters

Ethereum NYC (August 11–17, 2025) is a key moment. With World of Apps ⌐◨-◨ we put Nouns at the heart of the happening. This is the inaugural Ethereum event week in New York City run together with key local Ethereum ecosystem players and Nouns culminating in an ETHGlobal hackathon.

However, it is missing an event focused on Ethereum’s apps and contextualizing them in Ethereum’s cultural layer.
