1. Why this matters.

As time accelerates our shift into the digital, a noticeable gap remains between what we symbolize and what we can physically engage with. A silence between what we are online and what we hold in the real world.

Between pixel and skin, there was a void. We chose to stitch there.

At its core, fashion has never been just about clothing. It is about presence. About tension, unpredictability, and the ritual of stepping into the world with intent. And within the DAO, that intention has yet to take shape.

While fashion-based proposals and collaborations have emerged within the Nouns ecosystem, we believe there’s still room for initiatives that treat identity as an evolving narrative — less about commercial execution, more about symbolic translation.

NOUNS’SENCE was born from that tension — and from that promise.

To translate the identity of each Nounish NFT — from the DAO or any subDAO — into a unique, handcrafted piece. Not as an illustration, but as its embodied essence.

This proposal doesn’t aim for scale. It aims for meaning.

2. What is NOUNS’SENCE?

Born from the question: “What if an NFT wasn’t just visual? What if it could be felt?” NOUNSSENCE is the first Nounish fashion proposal built not to apply, but to translate. Each piece stems from an aesthetic and symbolic reading of the NFT: its colors, proportions, visual rhythm, graphic features, and emotional atmosphere. The design doesn’t follow a template — it listens. It interprets.

No templates. No fitting. Only interpretation and response. What was once only pixel now takes on physical form.

It all began with Noun #140 — the moment when we recognized there was narrative and emotion embedded in the code. This curiosity led to action: five physical pieces were crafted in conversation with the Yellow Community. Other Nouns also served as sparks of inspiration — #839, #730, #748, #931 — each revealing its own visual rhythm.

This journey was only made possible through the support and attention of community members like Toady Hawk, Ccarella, Carlos Juar, and others who continue to inspire the direction of the project.

Our references are clear, but not limiting. Tiffany & Co. offered a precedent with their work on CryptoPunks. Tribute Brand explored digital reinterpretations with Squiggles. NOUNSSENCE charts a different course — treating each Nounish NFT as a raw symbolic unit.

The name is a fusion of “Noun” and “Essence” — a nod to the poetic randomness of “nonsense,” opening space for emotional and visual interpretation.

We don’t call this a collection. We call it a language. And the holder’s body is where it writes itself.

3. How it works

Mint & Interpretation:

During a limited-time pre-sale, any Noun or Nounish subDAO NFT can mint a NOUNS’SENCE piece. Each mint = 1 physical garment.

After the sale, holders will use our custom-built platform to burn the NFT and register their specific Noun number. This triggers the interpretive process — a deep visual and symbolic analysis of the NFT’s traits: color, silhouette, rhythm, contrast, atmosphere.

We don’t replicate. We translate. And the result is a tailored piece of wearable art.

Production:

Each garment is handmade in our atelier, with high attention to detail and timeline integrity.

• Visual development & sketching: up to 30 days
• Modeling, cutting & custom tailoring: 30 to 60 days
• Finishing touches & finalization: up to 15 days
• Packaging & tracked shipping: up to 7 days

Estimated total time: 60 to 100 days post-burning, depending on complexity. Should demand exceed expectations, we’ll transparently communicate any scheduling adjustments — always prioritizing quality over speed.

Transparency & Tracking:

Throughout the process, holders will gain access to a private channel with visual updates and behind-the-scenes documentation. Our commitment is not only to deliver — but to deliver an experience of recognition.

4. Who’s behind it?

NOUNS’SENCE is built by a creative nucleus with direct ties to Web3 culture, independent fashion, and artisanal craftsmanship. Three contributors, three perspectives — weaving a proposal of precision, poetry, and process.

@n0weight | Creative Director A fashion designer and art collector, Edward operates at the crossroads of identity and form. With a background shaped by time in Berlin, London, and the Miu Miu research lab, he is currently developing his first onchain fashion house.

@_nul00 | Technical Designer Rooted in streetwear and urban lifestyle, Nulo previously contributed to the creative direction at HIGH. Actively engaging with NFT Twitter and Web3 culture, he offers a grounded sensitivity that transforms digital references into physical forms — bridging community and craft.

Production Coordinator With experience across ateliers in Lisbon and Buenos Aires, Clara has worked with collectives focused on sustainable fashion and manual tailoring. She also creates 3D mockups for early previews, ensuring material accuracy and executional integrity.

5. Financial Request

We’re requesting $5,000 USD solely to cover the pre-sale operation: Website development, technical setup, and team compensation for execution.

Garment production will be fully funded by the NFT mints, making this a demand-driven, sustainable model.

This is a non-profit project. Any remaining funds will be returned to the DAO treasury.

This ask represents less than 0.07% of the current Nouns DAO treasury.
