To build and expand a permanent booth for coloring Nouns piggy bank.

What is the problem or frustration you want to solve using this grant?

Since June 2023, I have been running a Nouns piggy bank coloring booth at the Noyo Gimbal View tourist site. To attract children, I set a very affordable price of Rp10,000, which includes the piggy bank they can color and take home.

This strategy has been effective in drawing visitors, especially children. However, the profit margin is very small after deducting production and material costs. As a result, the development of the booth has been quite slow.

Why do you think it has yet to be solved? Is it merely a lack of funding or are there other barriers at play?

Yes, I’m just limited by funding.

What is the best-case outcome of receiving this grant?

Actually, this booth has already made an impact, even in its very simple form. It has provided education for children—teaching them about art, saving money, and introducing the Nouns brand. Once the booth was built and expanded, its appearance became more attractive and comfortable.

The next target is teenagers. If we can engage with them, the impact will grow even wider and more sustainable.

If you had access to 10x the funding amount, what could you improve? How would the outcome and impact change?

If I receive funding that is 10 times larger, I will open several branches of the piggy bank coloring booths in multiple cities. Additionally, I will improve the quality of Nouns piggy bank production and add more character designs.

My hope is that Nouns piggy bank products can be shipped worldwide so that everyone can experience the joy of coloring Nouns piggy banks and get to know the Nouns brand.

Execution

How will you carry out the project and bring it to completion?

I have a team of two people responsible for producing the Nouns piggy banks. My home serves as the production site for these piggy banks. Additionally, there is one person who manages the Nouns Piggy Bank booth, along with several colleagues who help market the piggy banks at children’s events in various cities.

For the construction of the Nouns Piggy Bank booth at Noyo Gimbal View, we have a dedicated team in charge of building the facility.

What is an interesting (operational) detail about the project that is non-obvious to an outsider?

An interesting operational detail that might not be obvious to outsiders is that our Nouns piggy banks are not just souvenirs, but active tools for spreading Nouns values and characters within the local community. The Nouns piggy bank coloring booth we set up is more than just an art activity for kids—it serves as an entry point to introduce digital culture and Web3 concepts. Children color, take home, and use the piggy banks, becoming little ambassadors who introduce Nouns to their families and neighborhoods. This creates an organic ripple effect of cultural dissemination that may not be visible externally, but is highly effective in expanding Nouns’ reach.

What does the timeline to completion look like? Any major factors that could delay the project? Any hard deadlines you need to comply with?

The Nouns piggy bank coloring booth needs to be built or beautified soon because it is located in a tourist spot that requires a more attractive appearance.

My main goal is to spread the Nouns brand through the piggy banks without any time limits. I do this every day, possibly forever, as it has become a business or work for me.

Are you already working on this project, and for how long? What have you learned?

I have been working on this project since June 2023 until now. I have learned a lot throughout the process. Children need new and more varied piggy bank models. In addition, the comfort of the booth is important, as well as finding better ways to spread the Nouns piggy banks more widely.

Yes, I have expertise in this field. I come from a background as an artist.

I have been distributing Nouns piggy banks for almost two years, and the activity is still ongoing. These piggy banks have become like a necessity for children and teenagers. As long as it continues, the spirit will never die.
