Nouns DAO

tldr; retro-rewarding 4 community artists 3e each

This proposal is a re-run of 718, but switching the Nouns for ETH (re Nouncil’s only vwr in their against last time), I’ve also added Fattybuthappy.eth, I want to encourage these artists, and others, to continue creating alongside Nouns. The defeat of the last proposal was obviously disheartening for them but it was so close and I know the DAO is pro retro-funding so I want to run it again.

I selected these four artists as long-term, high impact individuals that we want to have creating alongside Nouns. They’ve collectively shared 100s of daily derivative artworks and memes, inspiring auction bidders and other artists/enjoyers. They all bring their own style daily and are also amazing pixel artists - I plan to work alongside them on new trait additions for the protocol throughout 2025 as we grow the artist community via Noun o’clock (The time each day that a Noun is curated/settled/minted).

Sebastien

Pixel/voxel artist creating an animation every day (check out their profile as I can’t embed videos here). They’ve made Nouns voxel art NFTs that I’ve personally collected for quite a while so was seriously hyped when they began daily posting and minting, thank you!

Nadie

Pixel artist creating beautifully animated 2D Noun characters each day. Nadie also makes many longer format Nouns animations across the internets, which is how I became a fan, so again massively appreciate the art and he is also now my animation teacher, thanks partner!

FBH

Noun 800 - Professional selfie taker, has made many memes at noc, and this year added two new traits to Nouns. I massively appreciate Fatty as a community artist and IRL creator with exceptional Fingerboard skills. Thanks for being Nounish, fbh also won the EOY noc Trivia IOU, so i owe you.

Illustrator with a beautiful and recognisable visual style. I first became a fan through their pixel art and Noun traits so again am hyped and very thankful they’ve been participating and creating daily Noun o clock art, thank you for sharing!

I believe it is important to acknowledge these artists for their dedication and consistently high level of execution, each brings their own style and encourages one another to keep going, and I want us to encourage them to keep going too!!! People love seeing daily Nouns art and I hope that, should this proposal pass, it will encourage more amazing artists to get involved. This leads to creating more traits, more derivative art, bringing more people to the daily auction, and having more fun. I am using the noun o’clock farcaster channel to onboard artists to Flows and 3/4 of these artists are already receiving ~$300 a month via their Flows.

/noc is building bridges between Nounish DAOs and beyond our direct network, we have grown to 1k followers, next stop 10k - new games, memes, art coming soon.
