Nouns DAO

tldr; retro-rewarding three Nouns to three community artists +1e each for any tax obligations that may occur in their jurisdictions for the gift.

I’ve selected three artists that have been high impact for Nouns in 2024, collectively sharing 100s of daily derivate artworks, inspiring auction bidders and other artists/enjoyers. They all bring their own style daily and are also amazing pixel artists - I am sure they will add trait artworks to the protocol in the future.

Many community members have shown their admiration for these individuals and they have become the pacemakers at the heart of Noun o clock daily art. I hope the DAO agrees that this would be good distribution of three treasury Nouns (I have asked them all for a Noun ID that they love). Big s/o to seneca/rounds.wtf for giving us 1M $nouns tokens that have been distributed via ~200 rounds at /noc & helped compensate and motivate these artists thus far. We are now distributing $noc which only has meme value and no LP.

Sebastien

Pixel/voxel artist creating an animation every day (check out their profile as I can’t embed videos here). They’ve made Nouns voxel art NFTs that I’ve personally collected for quite a while so was seriously hyped when they began daily posting and minting, thank you!

Nadie

Pixel artist creating beautifully animated 2D Noun characters each day. Nadie also makes many longer format Nouns animations across the internets, which is how I became a fan, so again massively appreciate the art and he is also now my animation teacher, thanks partner!

Illustrator with a beautiful and recognisable visual style. I first became a fan through their pixel art and Noun traits so again am hyped and very thankful they’ve been participating and creating daily Noun o clock art, thank you for sharing!

I believe it is important to acknowledge these artists for their dedication and consistently high level of execution, each brings their own style and encourages one another to keep going, and I want us to encourage them to keep going too. People love seeing the daily art and I hope that, should this proposal pass, it will encourage more amazing artists to get involved. This leads to creating more traits, more derivate art, bringing more people to the daily auction, and having more fun. WRT governance, I hope they vote too, I’ll also offer them to delegate to lintcouncil.eth and vote via our governance body with nerman (I’m finding tx fees are somewhat prohibitive to onchain governance atm so don’t want to oblige these guys to spend money they might not have).
