Hello Nounish friends! As Nouns enters a new season, one thing remains constant: funding credible ideas that proliferate the ⌐◨-◨, celebrating creativity, and share Nouns with the world in fun and unique ways.

We had a glimpse of our vision for Nouns as public installation; real world public goods that can enhance brand equity with Prop 489 & 570. We aim to continue expanding on this vertical & vision with an exciting new installation planned at Central Academy of Fine Art College (CAFA) located in Beijing, placing Nouns directly into the heart of a creative community.

Purpose Of The Installation

1. Cultural Visibility: This installation will serve as both an interactive landmark and a dynamic storytelling piece at China’s most prestigious art academy, positioning Nouns as an integral part of the international art scene. Its presence will enhance Nouns’ cultural visibility, elevating the brand’s global reputation.

2. Igniting Inspiration: Situated prominently on CAFA campus, the installation is designed to inspire not just students but also educators and public vistors. It aims to encourage exploration of Nouns and provoke creative thinking about CC0 art and open-source practices.

3. A Shared Artistic Space: Reflecting Nouns’ commitment to openness, the installation is not only a work of art but also a space for shared creative expression. As an open and accessible exhibition space, it invites students to exhibit their own work, nurturing a collaborative atmosphere that embodies the spirit of Nouns and fosters a sense of community centered around this Nounish art piece.

Nouns Cube:

The installation, “Nouns Cube,” is the creation of SBH, a talented local artist and faculty member at CAFA. SBH’s vision beautifully captures Nouns’ playful essence and creative spirit, blending ingenuity with cultural nuance.

Inspired by Nouns Vision glasses and the concept of The Invisible House, Nouns Cube incorporates mirrors to create a visually striking and dynamic effect. Adding a touch of Chinese culture, SBH also integrates the character “門” (meaning “door”) as a symbol of boundless opportunities & the limitless places Nouns’ values can reach. The result is a fun, thought-provoking installation that bridges creativity and cultural storytelling.

Why CAFA?:

Prestigious Institution: As China’s leading fine arts institution, CAFA champions interdisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of ideas—values that resonate deeply with Nouns’ commitment to innovation, open expression, and positive-sum thinking.

Strategic Placement: The installation of Nouns Cube at CAFA places Nouns in a high-impact creative environment. CAFA is known for nurturing leaders in visual arts, design, and multimedia, making it the ideal setting to introduce Nouns brand and CC0 principles to an audience of emerging artists and thinkers.

Global Reach: CAFA is a central hub for national and international art exchanges, attracting art professionals and officials from around the world. Nouns Cube will become a key highlight during these events, amplifying the visibility and brand equity of Nouns within the international art community.

Community Connection: With SBH as both the designer of Nouns Cube and a faculty member at CAFA, he is uniquely positioned to share Nouns’ value with his peers and students, building meaningful organic dialogue and connection with Nouns that ripple throughout CAFA’s ecosystem.

Budget

The total proposed budget is 105,000 USDC, with an allocation as follows:

• 1. Production = 54,300 USDC
  • Customed Nouns art structure (Mirrored surface) = 54,300 USDC
  • Size: 4x4x4 Meter (64M³)
• 2. Logistic & Installation = 17,650 USDC

  • Delivery = 7,200 USDC

  • Equipment rental = 4,050 USDC *For off-loading on-site + installation on-site

  • Installation (manpower) = 6,400 USDC

    **Manpower and Equipment cost are relatively higher in Beijing

• 3. Site Preparation = 4,200 USDC
• 4. Open Ceremony = 1,850 USDC

  • Light refreshment (80-100pax) = 800 USDC

  • Equipment rental = 550 USDC

    • Projector + speaker

  • Photo and videography = 500 USDC

    p.s An open ceremony for the completion of Nouns Cube, where students, faculty members and media will be invited. Will also be screening films like Shark, Pickle, Cone and The Rise Of Blus along with other Nouns short films.

• 5. Team Compensation = 27,000 USDC
  • Nic: 4,000 USDC/mth * 3mths = 12,000 USDC
  • Karl: 4,000 USDC/mth * 3mths = 12,000 USDC
  • SBH: 3,000 USDC (Retro fund for design)
