tl;dr:

We live in an area far from the main road and is classified as a remote area. there is no paved road to our houses, so it is certain that the road is dusty during the summer, and muddy during the rainy season.

This unfavorable condition also occurs on our soccer field. The condition of our soccer field is not much better than the condition and access to the road. the topography of our field is sloping, actually not suitable for use as a soccer field.

But until today, for years this field has always been the grass for the talents of young soccer players from Pasir Maju Village to hone their soccer game. there is even 1 student who received a full scholarship to a national level soccer athlete school.

The sloping condition of the field did not even dampen the interest and passion to continue playing soccer. until now, we routinely hold soccer tournaments at our regional level only. But this time we want to increase the scale of our tournament higher with the hope that more teams will join and come from various regions.

So with a higher target than before, we held the Pasir Maju CUP 1 TourNounsment for the first time.

Our plan

We will paint the tribune in full colors according to the Noggles. with dimensions of 40 cm x 40 cm, each Noggles can be occupied by 2 adult supporters.

To level a sloping field, it is necessary to add plaster/riprap on the outside of the field facing the road. So because this is a community traffic area, we will put Npggles and Nouns on this riprap so that people are aware and notice that Nouns already exist and help many people.

The square area of the goalposts naturally follows the shape of the Noggles, so for this first tourNOUNSment, we created a pattern on the back of the goalposts to liven up the event.

In addition, we will put Nouns and Noggles on committee jerseys, event banners and posters.

Impact

By repairing this sloping field to make it flat, generations of great soccer athletes will grow up because they always train with adequate facilities.

With a flat field, the use of this field is not limited to just playing for local people, but can also hold open football tournament events which can invite teams from various regions. so that every year, this field can be used as a sports tourist attraction. Especially in the Pasir Maju area, every time there is a big event like this, the economic turnover around the field will also increase, because of the large number of buying and selling transactions that occur.

Apart from being a sports facility, by improving the condition of the field, it will have more benefits, such as a place for official ceremonies, joint gymnastics, campaigns, counseling and various other community activities.

The most important impact for the environment is that erosion will no longer occur due to water which always falls towards the lowest corner of the field, namely on the shoulder of the road. By repairing this field, the field will not be damaged quickly, there will be no erosion, there will be no wider ditches, or roads that will collapse due to continuous erosion by water during the rainy season.

With the flat condition of the field, the actual impact is not only for its purpose as a football field, but there are many good impacts that will be had by the environment just by fixing one problem with the field.

Previously, we carried out a water distribution program for rice farmers’ rice fields in Pasir Maju in 2020. Because the repair of this field is also technically the same, we will involve people from an educational background and the civil engineering profession as technicians. Meanwhile, for the community empowerment and social aspects, we also involve the local regional government.
