Why do I want to add bunk beds to Nouns collection?: ～Nouns New Treasure: Evoking Memories～

The main reason for adding bunk beds to the Nouns collection lies in their powerful nostalgic effect. Bunk beds evoke childhood memories of late-night chats and secret conversations with siblings, while also symbolizing growth and adventure. They embody experiences shared across generations and have the power to create deep emotional connections that extend beyond the realm of digital art. Bunk beds expressed in Nouns’ pixel art style will stimulate personal memories while becoming a symbol shared by the entire community. They simultaneously express nostalgia for the past and expectations for the future, bringing new depth to the collection. Moreover, the addition of bunk beds further expands the indoor decor elements of the Nouns collection, alongside existing furniture items like couches. This enhances the diversity and expressive range of the collection, creating a richer and more appealing world of digital art.

How the idea came about:

This idea emerged from an unexpected source. It all started when I came across a chat in the early days of the Nouns Discord. A particularly impressive photo of a cool tattoo shared in that chat caught my eye. As I was looking at this exchange, memories of my own childhood experiences with bunk beds came flooding back. This serendipitous association led me to decide to express this nostalgic element in the Nouns style. I’m deeply grateful to Benbodhi-san and Gremplin-san for providing the spark for this idea! SO MANY ACTIVITIES!!!

Collection addition criteria:

• Simplicity Over Detail, It avoids excessive focus on details, shadows, and textures, keeping the design clean and straightforward.
• The design is scalable and functions effectively as a Profile Picture (PFP).
• Design elements do not invade the body preventing conflicts with accessories.
• It maintains a recognisable silhouette.
• It aligns with the Noun’s values and has a universal meaning.
• It represents the entire element, not just portions or specific details.
• The design is built around the glasses rather than merely overlaying them.
• The official color palette is used, and the number of colours in the design is limited to ensure consistency and simplicity.
