The Nouns Feature Documentary, “Shark, Pickle, Cone” is ready to premiere!

Stoopid Buddy Stoodios and director Neil Berkeley are thrilled to announce the World Premiere of “SHARK, PICKLE, CONE”; the first ever feature length Nounish Documentary – May 29th @ Consensus, Austin. We’re asking for USD$155K to: fund the film premiere and after party at Concensus in Austin + promote the mint and subsequent public streaming launch on X.

THE PLAN What started out as Prop 73, a short film about a nounish float in the 134th Annual Rose Parade, has turned into an hour-long deep dive documenting the first two years of Nouns DAO (and what a journey it has been!). Featuring interviews with dozens of key contributors to the ecosystem culled from nearly 50 days worth of recorded footage, the documentary culminates with the unveiling of the Nouns Float at the 134th Annual Rose Parade – seen by over 30 million people worldwide.

After over two years of production, we’re excited to finally share this movie with the world. Our launch objectives are as follows:

1. Host a premiere event to celebrate the film’s release
2. Utilize the best tools in the ecosystem to distribute and monetize the film and share in the bounty with the Nouns DAO.
3. Release the film in a manner consistent with the ethos of Nouns - open and accessible to all to ensure we get maximum audience and as little friction as possible to spread those Nounish vibes.

The Premiere On May 29th 2024, Consensus will host a Q&A panel with the filmmakers and a few special guests, including two of our larger-than-life walk around characters that appeared in the Rose Parade. Select scenes will be screened at the panel, and later that evening we will debut the film in its entirety at the world famous Alamo Drafthouse, South Lamar Theater (or similar venue).

Nouns After Party Nouns and Stoopid Buddy will be hosting a party exclusively for those attending the premiere. This will be a fantastic opportunity for us to come together, celebrate the release of “Shark, Pickle, Cone,” and connect with fellow Nouns enthusiasts from across the globe.

Special NFT Drop Leading up to the premiere, we are excited to announce a special NFT drop in collaboration with Zora and Nouns DAO. On April 30th, we will MINT the official “Shark Pickle, Cone” Film Trailer live on X, in conjunction with NOUNS DAO. Ownership of the trailer will unlock the full feature film at the same time as the film premiere in Austin on the evening of May 29th. 20% of the proceeds from the mint will go to the Nouns DAO. Over the following weeks post premiere, and in partnership with bonfire.xyz, NFT holders will also get access to exclusive BTS and extended interviews from the making of the film! It’s like DVD bonus features without needing to step foot inside a Blockbuster Video!

X Streaming Premiere Currently the plan is to stream the full film on X after the premiere, making this the first feature film to have it’s streaming premiere on the platform. We are currently working closely with X Global Head of Creator, Entertainment, Gaming, & Music Partnerships on a first of its kind promotion and launch strategy, and will be tapping an experienced entertainment publicist to promote. Goal is maximum exposure.

Event Promotion of Nouns As part of our partnership with Nouns, Stoopid Buddy will be actively promoting the Nouns community and its initiatives throughout the premiere event in Austin and beyond. This includes showcasing Nouns branding, having our walk-arounds featured at the conference, highlighting community contributions, and engaging with attendees to raise awareness and support for Nouns.

Budget Breakdown To maximize exposure of the premiere and associated activities, we are seeking a total funding of $155,000. The funds will be allocated toward the following:

• Event planner: $7.5K
• Publicist - two months pre and post launch: $12K
• Social Media Manager - 2 months pre and post launch: $7.5K
• Theater rental: $20K
• Venue/food/beverage for the premiere & after party: $25K
• Travel/accommodation expenses for filmmakers and panelists: $15K
• Shipping and Performance of the Nouns float costumes for interactive experiences and activations throughout Consensus: $13K
• Merch give away at Consensus: $5K
• Distribution support and paid marketing of the film on X and other social platforms: $50K
