Let’s send “Non-fungible Aotearoa” to some of the best film festivals around the world. Budget: US$ 3800 (refundable to the DAO if we are awarded a cash prize)

The backstory

Non-fungible Aotearoa is the documentary about Dean Harvey, the pixel artist behind Noun Cats NFT Project.

The focus of the film is to show how NFTs and Nouns DAO are transforming people’s lives in New Zealand.

The season 3 vibes

We were thrilled to learn about V3 and the new Candidates feature. The S3 vibe after the fork, especially on Farcaster has been very inspiring. And similar to the time when we were first funded.

Brennen Peters saw our Discourse post, sponsored our proposal and the community voted to fund the film.

Now, we would like to ask you to help us once again. This time, the film is ready but we need to get it in front of a larger audience.

The plan

Let’s submit the film to 50+ of some of the best film festivals around the world. Some of these festivals have cash prizes. If we win, we will refund the investment to Nouns DAO.

The proliferation

We will reach out to a new audience, outside of crypto, with a positive message about Nouns and NFTs.

We had a budget that paid for the first 8 festivals. The funding is for the next 40 and some others that are not open for submission yet, like the Melbourne International Film Festival.

NZFC (New Zealand Film Commission) https://www.nzfilm.co.nz/ They are on board and will fund travel arrangements, the theatre copy of the film and a new original soundtrack once the documentary is accepted into one of the festivals.

DOP https://www.departmentofpost.com/ One of the most important post-production houses in New Zealand. They have been with us since the beginning and will get the theatre copy of the film ready to be sent to festivals.

Jonathan Crayford https://www.jonathancrayford.com/ He will be the new composer of the original soundtrack for the film.

re:News / TVNZ https://www.renews.co.nz/ A New Zealand News channel working with our team to spin off a 10-episode series with other NFT artists. Dean’s EP will be the pilot and episode 01 of the series. This was an unexpected bonus and yet another new audience for the film.
