Weekly DAO Purchases
There have been many DAO proposals at the same time, some of which are conflicting one another. This vote hopes to provide clarity and allow an informed decision about DAO funds controlled by the community.
The DAO currently holds ETH liquid worth 4-5 million USD. This can be used to make strategic blue chip NFT buys when the timing is right, as well as investing in community-led initiatives and even funding public goods.
The community has successfully passed proposals that the DAO should make a purchase at most once a week. In the long-term interests of the project, the DAO should also not spend more than 20% of its treasury at once.
At the same time, proposals have also passed to purchase 2 CryptoPunks, 10 Bored Ape Yacht Club, an amount of Sandbox land, and a Cool Cat that must go with every purchase. If they were all purchased at once, it could cost almost 50% of the DAO’s funds, over 2 million USD. These proposals conflict with the budgeting proposals.
