Abstract

MoonDAO Projects are the launch point for mission-aligned people to build on top of the foundation and network of MoonDAO.

MoonDAO Projects are goal-oriented teams working on mission-aligned objectives. This document provides the framework to fund the team, support their progress, align their interests with the DAO, and provide retroactive incentives for projects that get us one step closer to a permanent settlement on the Moon.

This is a simplification of our Projects system (from 17 pages, down to 6), distilling some of our learnings into this next iteration of the projects system. Some new features:

• Removing the crowdraising rules, since no one used those yet.

• Removing the requirement for signatures on the document.

• Changing the role of the delegate, the operations lead will do most of what the delegate used to do. Now the delegate helps throughout the project and receives 10% of the rewards as the champion of the project. If the rocketeer already has 250k vMOONEY then they don’t need a delegate.

• Upfront payments are subtracted on a per-project basis, rather than subtracting the total upfront from all projects.

• A penalty is introduced if Moonsettlers do not update the community on their work in the progress channel every week. Same with Rocketeers that do not attend the weekly townhall meeting and give updates on the project’s progress.

• Project Proposal and Final Templates updated and moved to a new link.

• Inclusion of the new community circle in the projects system, allocating 10% to the community circle every quarter.
