MoonDAO

Abstract

This proposal aims to continue and build upon advances made in Q3 with a support team surrounding Dr. Eiman Jahangir in the aftermath of his launch on New Shepard 26 as a representative of MoonDAO. This team will perform outreach for publicity and coverage via various media platforms, including podcasts, articles, and videos, to get the word out about the launch, Eiman, and MoonDAO and increase community involvement. This is a no MVP proposal. See Q3 Final Report

Problem

Raising awareness regarding Dr. Eiman’s October 2024 launch with MoonDAO. Ensuring that we establish strategies for engaging the wider space community.

Solution

We’ll assemble a team tasked with executing a multifaceted publicity campaign. This team will be responsible for doing outreach for coverage on podcasts, articles, videos, and other outlets. Dr. Eiman has also arranged for speaking at various elementary and high schools, the Nashville Rotary Club, and the Vanderbilt University Medical School and Cardiology Division. This team can help vet any other speaking opportunities.

Benefits

Implementation of the proposal promises several key benefits. Primarily, it will amplify awareness of Eiman’s mission and bolster MoonDAO’s visibility within the broader space community.

Risks

Potential risks associated with the proposal include the possibility of inadequate outreach.

Objectives

Objective #1: Publicity and Coverage regarding Eiman’s launch on NS-26 Key Results for Objective #1:

• Secure additional coverage on at least 3 podcasts, news articles, or TV events during Q4.
• Keep track of all media for Q4 to determine reach of second astronaut for MoonDAO

Objective #2: Determine speaking engagements  Key Results for Objective #2:

• Identify further speaking engagements for Eiman
• Vet opportunities to see if worth the time commitment
• Keep track of various speaking efforts and determine reach of the events for MoonDAO.

Objective #3: Identify space conferences that Eiman could attend to provide publicity for MoonDAO Key Results for Objective #3:

• Compile a list of upcoming space related conferences in Q1 2025.
• Determine if it would be valuable for Eiman to attend and possibly speak at these conferences
• Eiman is speaking at New Worlds in Q4

Objective #4: Evaluating potential IP for website use. Key Results for Objective #4:

• Review video and photos from Eiman’s events and determine if any are usable IP for MoonDAO website and advertising.
