Abstract

This proposal aims to create a balance between different interests within the MoonDAO community by outlining a plan for how to allocate the $MOONEY token in our treasury. There’s currently 629.0M $MOONEY in our treasury available for allocation. The plan outlined here has four major objectives:

• Burning: The creation of a consistent burning schedule for the token of 3,000,000 $MOONEY per month for a year and a 14,000,000 $MOONEY burn when our second Astronaut is launched.

• Financing: This proposal earmarks 300,000,000 $MOONEY for financing, and a plan to reach out to reputable institutions that might want to support our mission.

• Locking: This proposal locks 179,000,000 $MOONEY for one year so it cannot be put into circulation.

• Voting Rewards: This proposal earmarks 50,000,000 $MOONEY that will be distributed throughout the year to voters on MoonDAO Proposals, encouraging more people to stake their tokens.

• Unallocated: 50,000,000 $MOONEY can be allocated via proposals. For example for projects, payments, marketing or other activities deemed appropriate by the community.
