As a candidate for Metis’ Decentralized Sequencer Pool, Pragma Ventures brings a wealth of technical expertise, with team members having served as leading engineers at prominent web3 companies and over five years of experience in operating and managing high-performance validator nodes, staking infrastructure, and data provisioning services. Our enterprise-grade staking infrastructure, advanced monitoring and failover mechanisms, commitment to top-tier research, and proven track record of maintaining optimal uptime, availability, and security across our geographically distributed node infrastructure, leveraging advanced monitoring, failover mechanisms, and best-in-class security practices, position us as an ideal partner to support Metis’ growth and success.

We have been onboarded to the sequencer testnet as one of the initial providers and have been working with the Metis team for the first few weeks to debug early issues that were arising with the initial versions of the testnet. As such, we are well-positioned and have seen the ins and outs of how the sequencer middleware works.

We have experience running nodes on Avalanche, Solana. Moonbeam, Aleph Zero, Calamari Network, Redbelly, Obscuro, Fleek, Subspace, Moonriver, Kilt and a number of other smaller networks. We have over $100 million in staked assets on our nodes currently.

As a Decentralized Sequencer for Metis, Pragma Ventures commits to:

Uptime and Availability:

• Maintain a minimum of 99.9% uptime for our sequencer nodes
• Ensure uninterrupted service through advanced monitoring and failover mechanisms
• Provide 24/7 on-call engineer support to address any critical issues promptly
• Performance and Reliability:
• Utilize high-performance, enterprise-grade infrastructure to handle transaction volumes
• Optimize our nodes for low latency and high throughput
• Regularly monitor and upgrade our infrastructure to maintain optimal performance
• Security and Integrity:
• Implement best-in-class security practices, including OS hardening, strict access controls, androbust firewall configurations
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our sequencer nodes and associated data
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities
• Monitoring and Reporting:
• Provide real-time monitoring and reporting on the performance and health of our sequencer node
• Share relevant metrics and insights with the Metis team to help improve the state of the code
• Promptly notify the Metis team of any issues or incidents affecting our sequencer nodes
